Does anybody watch this show? I don't think it has ever been shown on TV here in the UK, but for me it is possibly the best TV series of all time. The first episode of the 5th (and final) season aired in America last night - it was amazing as always.
It is the greatest TV show ever made, no doubt. I didn't start watching it until last year but I've been waiting 6 months for this season to start and it didn't disappoint! I don't think I've ever met a person who has watched it and doesn't think its the best thing on TV, all the characters are amazing especially your man Saul lol
Yeah, I started watching it a few months back, and raced through the seasons. It's tough having to wait every week for an episode now. I think that anybody who watches it will love it. The characters are amazing, there are sides to all of them that you both love and hate.
I saw some episodes when I was over in the US. That it was a bit meh. If it gets shown here I will give it another chance. IMO best thing on TV this year (& last) was Game of Thrones. Looking forward to Series 3 with much anticipation.
I've just caught up on both series of "Treme". Loved 'em, and now waiting for 3rd in October? (poss. that's in U.S.)
I adore Breaking Bad. Everything about it, except Skyler. What a ****. And Mike sometimes when he's in a mood. Badger, Gustavo, Saul, Hank, Walter, Hector - all brilliant characters. Great dialogue, soundtrack, cinematography. It's surely the best series ever, even beating The Wire. And I too loved the opening episode of season five. Especially the return of Old Joe - missed him so badly after that scene arguing with Hank in the trailer park; "this is my private domicile, and I will not be harrassed... BITCH!" Heisenberg's gonna turn into such an evil bastard. 'Because I say so'.
I think in general, telly is sadly very poor. There isn't much that interests me these days. It's not all bad,but a lot of it's ****e !
This is on Netflix, am going to start watching as have heard great things about it. 33 episodes so I guess that will be about the first three seasons or such-like.
Assuming you're referring to "Breaking Bad", here are the episodes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breaking_Bad#Episodes ...only 7 in Series 1.
The worst of it is that even the BBC documentaries like Panorama have been so dumbed down they sound like they should be Newsround reports. It's like Idiocracy (the film) is already becoming reality, especially with Klitschko being the Ukranian(?) equivalent of David Milliband and hoping to win the election in October.
Breaking Bad is tremendous but The Wire is the greatest show that's ever been on American television.
I watched the first episode of The Wire, but it just seemed like a normal TV cop show with a confusing amount of characters. I know it gets really good reviews, so I plan to give it a chance some time - but I was hooked from the first episode of Breaking Bad.
Took me about four attempts to get into the Wire. Read a recap/review after each episode and try put character names to faces, easier that way. You get used to the Baltimore slang too after a while. Much cleverer than your everyday cop show, by the way. Agree about BB though, as soon as I watched the first episode I knew it would be a hell of a ride. Just because it's lighter viewing than the Wire doesn't make it inferior. One of its assets in my eyes.
I watched breaking bad after the walking dead and all I could think about was how the same mobile home was used!
Just torrent it in HD quality and burn it on a disk or use an HDMI cable. Way cheaper and equal amount of effort.
you can't beat dexter but i've just dl the pilot episode of breaking bad to see what all the fuss is about
