How much do you reckon City could get for Oli and Bullard?

yes Colin, that's what we want to see!!! Think Bullard would fit in perfectly at DQPR and imprtantly tey'd be able to offer him some good money too

If they tried for both together, they'd probably get them free, it's £70k a week of the wage bill, we could get ten decent new players with that money.

What I would REALLY like to know is how much of the parachute payments yet to be paid has been mortgaged and at what cost.

I can't remember the exact details, but I'm pretty sure that Adam said that by this summer we'd have caught up and would have no borrowings against future income.

your having a laugh arnt you Dowies_Hair. no club would pay a transfer fee for Bullard, its too well documented that we're desperate to get him off the wage bill. I can see him going somewhere with us still having to give him a small payoff.

So we have £16m available to spend (wages and fees) in the next two windows?

A good wage for this division is around £8-10k for an average starting contract of 3 years = £1.5m per player so we should be able to afford around 6 players (£9m wages) leaving around £7m fees. We will inevitably have our allotment of 5 loan players so maybe only 5 permanent signings (4 in the Summer and one in January).

    Reckon we will sign:

1 or 2 permanent CBs (Hobbs will deffo join. Maybe Gerrard perm but if not Ayala on loan)
a permanent GK (hopefully Mannone, but if not then on loan and Eilhof perm or Guzan on loan)
a permanent CM Captain (hopefully Greening)
    in the Summer.

A loan LB (young ManU type with a view to replacing AD during the season),
a loan CB (If Gerrard doesn't com back perm, reckon we could go back for Ayala on loan)
a loan Left winger (who knows??)
a loan GK (basically perm 2 from 3 between Mannone,Eilhof and Guzan)
a loan CF (Emmanuel-Thomas from Arsenal? Was impressed with him)

I'd add Neil Danns to your list, it looks like he's one we're definitely looking to do a deal with, if we haven't already.

Yes, all the noises are that Danns will join, I'd forgotten about him.

Is he captain material? If not and we don't end up signing Gerrard, who will be Captain?

If we sign Danns, surely we won't go for Greening as we will be truly flushed in midfield options.

I think the Captaincy is the BIGGEST issue facing us over the Summer.

I tell you who I would love to see at the KC (nothing to do with the Captaincy mind). Premiership experience, very strong and skillful up front, only 25/26, free agent in the summer, perfect foil for Fryatt, can you guess?

    Won't happen though!! :emoticon-0132-envy:

If we don't Gerrard, then I'd be tempted to look at Rosenior for captain, he's going to start every game and he's pretty vocal.

I can't think of the striker off the top of my head, who is it?

He's a decent player(12 goals in 43 games this season), but he's not really the target man were missing.

I'd be happy to see him join, but only if it was due to Mclean going and we still brought in a target man.

nugent is more than capable at this level and i'd welcome him. weather he'd work with fryatt remains to be seen.

tuesday night has got me pondering again about simpson's role longer-term, i do still have a lot of hope he'll come good and prove to be very effective for us.

Is that because he has done so well at Sheffield United?
