Last season one player cost the club this amount of money. I know the answer, but don't know why? Was it spite or poor judgement?
Simpson? He only played about 10 minutes for us all season. Could be Olly though, probably not Macca cos he started a couple of games didn't he?
I'd go with Simpson. I doubt he even played 10 minutes, but at 11k per week (minus the Millwall spell) it probably adds up just about right.
I'm pretty sure that: McShane only played 90 minutes all season, but we will have saved some money on his wages by loaning him out for half the season. Oli only played about an hour at Blackpool and a couple of sub appearances which probably totalled a maximum of 120 minutes, and we paid him the whole time as one of our highest earners. Simpson came on as a sub for about 3 games and started against Macclesfield, but didn't earn as much as the other two and also went out on loan probably saving us. Adebola only played one half and a few sub appearances which probably totalled about 120 minutes and we paid him for the full year and paid over the odds. That all considered it was probably Oli or Adebola.
Adebola - although Adam Pearson 'played' us for a hell of a lot while destroying Hull FC in the background. Strange thing is, that as long as we can see some element of success, we don't really give a ****e about the money!
Ghilas, costing us money whilst banging in the goals to get Stade de Reims promoted; the only positive is that they've bought him.
With Ghilas killer and Adebola gone, aloing with AP and i don't how many other staff,we must be operating a bit easier now. Although Bruce is said to be exspensive.
If we're spending £2m on Proschwitz we certainly aren't being conservative with the money. It seems weird that we go from spending nothing for over a year to appointing a very expensive manager and offering millions for strikers on the continent. Why didn't we just spent a bit of this money ages ago and the whole process could have been a lot easier.
Because it's us, watch Ghilas fire Stade de Reims to the French League title now, just like Giroud did with Montpellier
