I still think ti is a bullshit story although I am starting to get concerned that someone from the club has not spoke out about it yet <yikes>

Insane. Totally insane. Why not keep him for at least next season to see how he fits in? He'll still have AT LEAST the same value next year.

Is there something JH isn't telling us about the finances of the club?

  3. Did we pay the full £35m up front for Carroll or was it to be paid over so many installments?

If it was the latter and we sell him, in theory we'll be still paying for him to play for someone else because no one is going to give us the same amount!

This doesn't make any sense. Newcastle will offer us sod all, best off holding on to him or whoring him out to foreign clubs

Tell the Geordie bastards we want the interest they charged us back before we even consider the idea. Then take a day and tell them to ram it up their backside once they have paid.

  11. I put the above comment as a joke but it got me thinking. Would anyone be as bothered about losing Carroll to Newcastle if Cisse (or Ba plus some cash) was coming the other way...?

nearly fell of my chair laughing when i seen this comment, 25mil for carroll? haha, IF he does join us on a permanent basis, it will be for 10 mil at most. Cause lets face it, we got cisse for 10 mil and he has already scored more goals in half a season than AC did last season and the season before. One thing about mike ashley he is no mug so keep dreaming lol

If they were to offer Cisse, although thats not very likely, I'd run to Andy's house tomorrow and help him pack his bags.

  14. Yeah, I know it won't happen but it is a very slow board tonight so thought I'd throw in a question that might trigger something...

    What about Ba instead...?

True. Just because he made it through almost a full season without injury means nothing. Heck, robin van persie did the same thing... Everyone knows he's made of glass! <laugh>

However, one more season injury free might change my mind about his 'dodgy' knee.

So Cisse had a good half a season. Let's see how he performs this season when the majority of defenders have had a good look at him.

  18. He had a fairly injury free season at West Ham in 2010-11 didn't he...?

Agreed but, of course, his fee will multiply should he repeat what he did last season. not that we'll be signing him anyway <ok>

I'm not saying he's worth £25mil, only that 1 year after paying £35mil for him, I would be annoyed if we accepted anyhting less that that. If someone was to offer £10 or £15mil I'd hope we tell them where to go.

  20. Malaga haven't done any business yet this summer and they are another Man City, Chelsea, PSG, etc. Maybe they will come in and offer £30m+ <whistle>
