Carroll won't be happy sitting on the bench.

That's fair enough marra, but I think people need to drop the hatred for now. Pards and the scouts agree that this would be a good move, so we should trust their judgement.

Our 3rd and 4th choice strikers will get plenty of game time.

3rd choice would be classed as a bench warmer for us last season, but now we're in the Europa League, our top 3 strikers WILL get plenty of games, if we don't **** up at the first hurdle, that is.

We can't rely on Cisse and Ba to help us through our entire PL campaign and Europa campaign, and when they're both gone in the ACN, Shola would be our 1st choice XD

Lad's it simple really, if Carroll come's in and starts firing the goals in again along with Cisse and Ba we will have a formidable and awesome attack.

Definitely. If they want him, then I'll I along with it. I'll never boo him, but won't big him
Up either until he's proven a point.

People forget Shola, Sammi, Best, McLoven, Vuckic all got a handful of games last season. With Europa league on top he would get at least 15 starts IMO.

Can see your point, don't think Carroll would be keen on being 3rd choice especially having been top dog here just 18 months ago.

Yeah, but as long as he's getting regular games, why would he care?

He wouldn't literally be branded "3rd choice striker".

Every one our of our strikers would be getting regular games, and that's what matters.

Next season will be totally different to our last 5-6 years in the PL mate.

What have we got to lose? We won't be paying all his wages, if he's crap, there's no transfer, if he has a monster season, we get him on a relative steal. Seems to make sense to me.

Notif ivory coast beat Senegal in the play off. The strikers won't be going anywhere.

I love how you're assuming we'll get through the first rounds of the Europa without problem Tash. I seem to remember a certain Champions League qualifying nightmare a few seasons back which put us all in check.

I still think he'd be "number 3" though. He'd literally be the third choice striker. With rotation he'd get games, but I couldn't see him starting important games ahead of Ba/Cisse, because they're better. Carroll would be a decent option from the bench though <ok>
