    Does Cole really deserve that kind of ridicule just because he truthfully defended his teammate?
    Think before you tweet next time Rio!

    Hold on a minute, am I missing something here? This person tweets that Cole has "sold out", "he's going to be THEIR choc ice" and "shame on him".
    Whose choc ice is he being exactly? What is he selling out? What the hell has he to be ashamed of?
    It's pretty obvious to me.

    From bbc:

    "It is the idea that a black person is black only in skin colour but inside they are really white. It's a highly derogatory term. It's a dangerous term because it allows black boys especially but black people in general, to believe that there is a way of being black that is somehow distinct from being white. There are people that think if you don't wear a certain type of clothing or listen to a certain type of music you're not really black. It's a really dangerous thing. There are black boys who do less well in school because they believe by doing well there, they are acting white. To me, this is devastating for black boys and black people everywhere. It's a deeply offensive term with racial connotations."

    As we can see its a highly offensive term that suggests black people shouldnt be like white people. Moral of the story: Rio is a blatent racist and a hypocrite. I dont give a **** though, the whole racism thing bores me and we should talk about discrimination of any form instead imo.

    What Suarez, Terry and Ferdinand have said in seperate instances was dumb.

    But Ferdinand and Terry know the Premier league and the english culture back to front and have no excuses for what they have said........They have been proper stupid, Hope Terry gets the book thrown at him by the FA and I hope Ferdinand (Rio) gets the book thrown at him to..

    Nothing will happen to Ferdinand though unless Cole comes out and complains......

    Its all blown out of proportion though and ignores what racism truly is: If Craig bellamy went to the FA every time someone said something about him being a sheep shagger, he would be the richest guy in world football no doubt.........

    It's a term used for a black person with white "beliefs", whatever they are. The person who tweeted said that Cole had sold out by testifying for JT. Said he should be ashamed of himself.

    I work with a lad who is of Chinese decent, born in China, but has lived in Canada for 30 odd years. He calls other Chinese Canadians "BANANAS'. Yellow on the outside and white on the inside. Just means they are Westernised. As far as I am aware there is no racial slur involved.

    The tweet implied that Cole should be ashamed of himself that he had testified on JT's behalf. Hence the name choc ice.
    I really do not know how to make this any simpler for you.

    I didnt say he disagrees, in fact it is quite obvious he doesn't!! It has to be proved that he agreed not that he disagreed

    Not that it will go to court as Terry using racist language was deemed not to have happened, therfore so will rio's, basically because he didsnt actually call anyone, at any point a "choc ice"

    <ok>

    Also, Rio made a feeble attempt at justifying the "choc ice" accusation and slipped up by stating "what I said yesterday." which clearly indicates he endorses the tweet.
