Did you see the size of the lino on the cricket ground side? He was built like a light heavyweight boxer. "Was I offside there? Good call, lino." And coming back to size, I don't think Kermie's been chowing down on cuisine minceur this close season, has he?
surprising a few people have made comments about Kermit's weight - I couldn't tell whatsoever if he had gained weight or not so will go on the word of others. For me I thought Cousins looked quite good in the first half but definitely Bover looked well composed on the ball and stand-out player in the 1st half
Jordan Cousins always starts off slow you should have seen him for the U18's the first three months of last season..... he was dire seemed to have no energy at all. He will get better as season goes on.

Agree pretty much with Tewkes and WWOCB. Bover is the kind of tricky, skilful player this country simply doesn't produce. Apart from being very left-footed (being one-footed is a criticism which can be levelled at pretty much every player) he was always looking for the ball and mostly used it well. Pritchard hustled and bustled as he always does. Harriot needs to work on his composure in front of goal, but is a positive player who will scare defenders by running at them. Green was the same as ever, one cracking cross but a few bad tackles and the odd lazy pass. BWP was his usual self, unfortunately it's now reached the stage that we expect him to miss when 1-on-1 with the keeper, and he did. Stephens played deep again, but well. Jackson, Cook and Haynes completely dominated the Welling midfield and defence by freely interchanging positions. Cook in particular looks a decent signing. I was impressed with Smith as well, although that may be down to low expectations (I haven't yet regarded him as a first team candidate, rather as a long-term prospect). Took his goal well and showed some nice touches that you wouldn't necessarily expect from a big man. All in all, a good workout and signs of promise.
Just got this off a French Addicks website - La Voix des Addiques "Qui a mangé toutes les tartes?" Oh all right - I made it up...
Thanks for the updates people, sounds like a good start to the pre season. Can't remember us winning this fixtre 4-0 before. As for Welling, I heard they lost a couple of big names. Jon Main I remember from Dartford, and I got the vague impression he was a billy big bollox type player. I'll await confirmation as he scored a truck load of goals at Wimbledon.
lol i'd actually heard the same about Kermit from a few people on twitter unless you also happen to be one of them
Here's a quote from l'homme himself from the O/S after the Barnet game - "I also had a diet to follow to lose a few kilos, so it was tough for me because I had no energy. It was normal for me to struggle during the last week or 10 days, but yesterday I ate a few pastas so I had more energy for the game!" At least it's pastas and not pasties... Have to say, he's looking pretty trim again.
