I know, someone pointed out that Carroll would be up front alone, when he would in fact have two up with him.

Bozz is good!!! I remember years ago Mark Bosnich had a fantastic performance on a euro night for Man Utd and The S*n ran the headline "King Bozz is the Biz" the guys at the leisure centre I was working at, at the time stuck it on to my Liverpool shirt, I thought it he headline then came off my shirt like **** off a shovel

Honestly I completely agree with this one on the grounds that 4-3-3 is the most likely formation to be employed by rodgers (but thats our guess before he sets a team out for the first time)

I think perhaps theres some flexibility in this and downing or cole could come in on the elft and the other two swap round while carroll is benched.. .who knows....

The final thing i agree with is adam not in the side. no discipline not positional awareness and ball watches

The lad looks like a good signing, looking forward to seeing him play. He looks quick, two footed and a very cool finisher, with Suarez they should be a complete headache for the oposition's defence.

    So, who's next?

  7. I think you need to make your mind up regarding Adam pal. You put this on the 'Goodbye Maxi' thread:

There will be a few more signings yet, and it is difficult to predict what the team will be until we find out if Carroll is really going, or whether this loan business is a stunt to give the lad a kick up the arse?

Still think we are two or three signings short.

  9. Seem to be typing this a lot this morning but...I agree <ok>

I suspect we'll see a central midfielder arrive which would mean no Henderson or Adam in the strongest XI <ok>

    ...........................Reina................................
    Johnson....Skrtel..............Agger........Enrique....
    .............Gerrard....Lucas......Suso.................
    .....Borini....................................Sterling........
    ..........................Suarez..........................

Suso and Sterling won't start, but these are the positons where I would like to see new signings. Midfield and left.

Well you can pick from Henderson, Adam, Wee Jay, Shelvey, Suso or Aqualani

So however comes in needs to better than those players. Shelvey has just signed a new deal and can play a bit.

  12. Yep, agree again but maybe swap Borini and Suarez. Having said that, these will only be starting positions and I'd expect to see plenty of interchanging anyway <ok>

Also Gerrard will miss parts of the season, so we need a top class midfielder for sure imo. Still would love Joe Allen.

    *Sorry Jack fans.

  14. Aquilani would be like a new signing and putting in the CM position alongside Lucas and Gerrard would make the middle very strong but he will be back in Italy come 1 September. The other four will be squad players IMO <ok>

    True <ok>

Think Borino has got more energy. Suarez likes to go on little mazy runs, best those runs begin near the goal. Little bit to selfish to play out wide. but as you say, they can all interchange, but Glen always needs a little help on the right, Suarez won't offer that.

  18. I'm not sure about Suarez's ability to lead the line and I think he is better coming from a wider birth. But as i said, these are only starting points, I expect plenty of movement and interchanging <ok>

What position does he play for Uraguay??? he always seems to bag a few goals everytime he is away.

  20. Looks good but how much service would the Gypo get...? Both Borini and Suarez like to run with the ball and play short one-two type passes, Carroll needs the ball whipped in early or laid off for him to whack it with his left peg <ok>
