Well as much as I am pleased for Jenkins and the board might I add, I do feel this is a tad premature, and I hope it doesn't jinx us this second season. This would have been appropriate when we had got two or three Prem season's under our belt, and will seem a hollow recognition if we were to go straight back down, so I have some reservations on the timing of this award!..................

Lot's of people get honorary degrees. So why not Huw, for his contribution in the clubs rise in stature. He hasn't done this on his own, the board must take a huge amount of credit but as leader of our ship, he's the one who get rewarded.

You've posted this to get a reaction and to stir up problems, knowing full well Dai's totally predictable response. You know it and the less gullible over here know it too. In a maybe futile attempt to get this thread back on track - does Huw deserve the 'honour'? Yes!

Dai - you call Huw a failed business man - so I guess that you think the work he has done for our beloved SCFC is a massive fail!? I for one don't give a rats arse about his business dealings before he took the helm at the Swans - all I care about is that he has aquitted himself admirably with regard to our football team. The results speak for themself! I know that Huw is not the only one who has guided us to where we are now - but he has been a massive part of our success!

And before you shout me down I will tell you that I am a lecturer of entrepreneurship at Swansea Metropolitan University - in business many will fail countless times before they eventually succeed - it is how they deal with the failures that matters. The true entrepreneur will learn from it and take those lessons on board - they will learn from their failures, they will pick themselves up and start something new - and they will not make the same mistakes again!

Huw has learnt from the mistakes he has made in the past and has guided the good ship SCFC to unprecedented success - he is a major factor in our success, as are the rest of the board - so cut him a little slack - don't know what he has done to you but I bet that what he has done for us outweighs it!
