See, John Henry, THAT'S what you should have done: BRIBE THE PUBLIC OFFICIALS! :emoticon-0116-evilg It worked for Slurguson anyway...

Can't wait until we next play United: hoping Glen goes up to Evra and says "I DIDN'T just call you a short-@rsed, lying, ***got-faced, cock-sucking, mendacious, limp-wristed, slack-anused p00fter. What, you didn't say I did? Well we're okay then...."

Let's hope Rio X is charged with witness harrassment too. :emoticon-0137-clapp

    From the Evening Standard yesterday:

In a hilarious misunderstanding, John Terry was asked to repeat evidence that he had been sent off four times in his career.

“Can you say, please, four times?” asked his QC, George Carter-Stephenson.

“Please, please, please, please,” Terry responded.

Guffaws of laughter broke out around the courtroom at the misunderstanding, which was a result of the judge asking Terry to speak up.

The footballer appeared confused by response from the courtroom.

    Says it all, really... GKRK

  7. I think this backs up Liverpool fans support for Suarez. Both Terry and Suarez clearly did say something racial but neither could be 100% proved beyond doubt. One was trial by the British justice system, the other by the joke that is the FA.

Interested to see what the FA do with Terry now since they reckon they are going to have their own investigation. Any punishment that is attempted to be placed on Terry will be laughed at by Chelsea and their lawyers because they'll just say "let's take it to court", something we should have done <doh>

Edit: Since the Terry v Ferdinand case went to court, would it be fair to say that this was a stronger case than Suarez v Evra? Again, that works in Luis' favour IMO. however he (and Terry) will forever by tarred with the racism brush now anyway <ok>

As the case for not charging evra was that his insults (some racial) were not initially heard by Suarez, surely they have set a precedent here. It was established in a PROPER court that ferdinand did not hear the insults - ergo no case to answer to the FA?

Was reading somewhere that if a punished club or player take their FA to a court of law to appeal they will be severely sanctioned(possibly getting banned from their association) by FIFA due to them wanting all football related disputes in the hands of the sport(something fishy there then).

Apparently FIFA rules are that if you want to appeal against what ever punishment your FA dish out your only allowed to go to CAS(court of arbitration for sport)for a ruling in the dispute.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Court_of_Arbitration_for_Sport

I think that partly played a part in Suarez and LFC not taking things further than the FA panel's punishment.
