Well If women would stay in the kitchen LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO they wouldn't be affected by sexism in the workplace or the sexist jokes that men make...

Sorry to use this as a serious example, Wisescummer. It's funny and made me smile, but if said in an employment situation it wouldn't be funny. An example of how a persons intent does affect how a sentence is received.

Any fans of the US Office here? The episode about sexism in the workplace is hilarious.

Going back to the Terry case specifically, I think he will still be charged by the FA.

The magistrate has to work on the grounds of whether it was beyond reasonable doubt, which he decided it wasn't because nobody could prove exactly what he said, but he also said he thought Ferdinand was a credible witness and has no reason to make up the accusation. In other words, he strongly implied that had the case been decided the balance of probabilities, like the FA did with the Suarez case, he would have been found guilty.

So is that rule in force because the NFL is predominantly white? (67% to be exact)

So i assume there is a similar rule for interviewing white coaches in the NBA....? (77% black)

No, because the owners of the NBA franchises are still mostly white, so there is very little chance for any suspicion of racism. Unlike the NFL where before the Rooney rule it was looking like a bit dodgy, with white owners consistently appointing white coaches (a bit like the football league at the moment).

I hope that the fact I had my tongue pretty firmly in my cheek would also be a major factor?

I got that;) I have always been a vocal advocate for the mennel (TM, Fran, Isle of Wight)...a larger version of a kennel that you could keep men in rather than have them clutter up the house.

If the women did their job properly and actually cleaned then there wouldn't be any clutter...

Is there enough room in there for a comfy chair, TV, PS3 and a mini fridge? If so, I could get on board with that.

The case should never have been brought to court... political correctness, and a waste of money, IMHO.
That is not to say that I approve of what Terry, or indeed Ferdinand said, or did not say.
And I have never liked Terry.
