Tickets for the first few games went on sale to members this morning, and I've got my tickets for the Norwich game. I don't think I'm going to be coming to many games this season - from September I'm being made semi-redundant (losing my salaried, full-time position but doing some aspects of my old job on a part-time contracter basis) so until I find more writing and editing work I'm not sure how the money is going to go. Fortunately Mrs Captain works, so we're not going to be on the breadline or anything. I suspect that after Norwich, Southampton away - closer than a home game for me - will be the next live match we come to. Anyway, with my visits to the Cottage remaining occasional treats, I'll be more dependent than ever on you lot for working out what's really going on with Fulham.
Now understand why it had been a bad week Captain. Really rough. With your skills and personality something will turn up round that corner. Best wishes to you and the family.
Best wishes Captain. You will no doubt be kept well informed by the experts on this board,as to why we did this, or that, and how we could have picked a better team than the manager. "So same as usual"
Thanks to all for the best wishes and kind words. I couldn't ask for a better pool of experts. And Bandit (sorry Bandy, couldn't resist - I do agree with you sometimes.)
All the best Captain. Tough period but you will get out stronger and wiser. In case you want to watch a game there might always be a spare ticket as don't know how often my daughter will join me to the games.
It should be possible to relax the rules governing the consumption of Mrs Captain's biscuits without the precondition that Fulham have a clear lead. Good luck to you Captain!
Thanks, Madness, but the cost of getting from Bournemouth, plus the time away from the family are just as big an issue as actually getting tickets. The thought is very much appreciated though. Anyway, if I got into the habit of going to matches without bringing my eldest with me (and my other son too, in a few months - he's nearly ready for his debut), I think they might have a thing or two to say about it!
