Yes - but you put it on here ... so accept my thanks! Thompson was the only one who seemed to apply sensible reasoning to his comments. No surprises from Smith. McGowan said "... the moment Uncle Rupert comes along and says, hang on a moment we're not having this, then the fans opinions will be swept away" - or words to that effect! While he may have read the outlook of Regan and Doncaster correctly, his blinkered view failed to see that if the fans' opinions are swept aside and they decide to boycott SKY as well, then 'Uncle Rupert' won't be interested in any case. Clubs would be suicidal not to listen to their fans.
