Not missing the point....you answered my question. You would have went with the 6 games ban in the Scottish Cup....

I have no idea what the Hearts player did vs what Boogie did to make a judgement.... Anyway Boogy did wrong and should have got a bigger ban.

Lennon didnt get a ban though? His 4 match ban wasnt related to the Mccoist incident. Sure he was issued a ban but didnt serve it due to a technicality. Imagine if Mccoist ban wasnt overturned and he had to serve the band - the shoe would be on the other foot... Bottom line - SFA a ****ing mess.

The Boogie message is a very dangerous precedent.

Diouf got a red card and a ban AND a fine....and hes ****e. Anyway that facist Italian **** used to do it for your mob all the time...

Its not the first old firm match with several red cards and several yellow cards.....dont get too excited about that...

    Much love

Lennon did not avoid the ban due to a technicality.

Ah ok.... Well clearly I would like McBride to make a **** of himself and implode.... But at the same time i would like to use this as a catalyst for change at the SFA... I wonder if I can get both...

This is gonna get very very interesting....

Regan better have taken advice on this as McSnide the bride wont be long with em... Regan could lose his job..

We aint gonna agree on this one... The spirit of the SFA ban wasnt concurrent. Celtic picked up on a loophole in the rule book and the wording in the ban handed to Lennon....

Chief Executive condemns Old Firm chaos

    Thursday, 03 March 2011

Stewart Regan, Scottish FA Chief Executive: “The Scottish FA categorically condemns the inflammatory and irresponsible behaviour throughout last night’s Scottish Cup replay between Celtic and Rangers at Celtic Park.

“As Chief Executive of this organisation, I was both saddened and deeply embarrassed to witness the scenes that unfolded during what is supposed to be Scottish football’s flagship fixture: these images were broadcast around the world and shows our game in a poor light. I acknowledge the pressures of expectation on both clubs but last night’s behaviour crossed the boundaries of acceptable conduct at a football match.

“We have already launched an investigation into all incidents that occurred and will do everything in our power to ensure there is no repeat. The events at Celtic Park, however, run deeper than the Scottish FA’s Disciplinary Procedures. The unedifying sight of two of the country’s most recognisable and respected coaches engaged in an angry confrontation was not only unsavoury but exacerbated an already incendiary atmosphere inside the stadium and throughout the West of Scotland.

“The clubs have a duty of care to ensure that the image and integrity of the game is upheld at all times. This was not adhered to last night. This week, Strathclyde Police reiterated their concerns over the heightening violence and public disorder around Old Firm derbies. It is incumbent on Rangers and Celtic to ensure a far more responsible level of behaviour.

“ In an age of austerity and financial hardship, football must try harder than ever in this country to restore its image as the national sport, extolling pride and passion. It fails in this regard.

“Last night’s actions – which culminated in three red cards and 13 cautions in total – also re-emphasised the ongoing lack of respect for our match officials. It was a source of comfort that at least one person retained his composure amid last night’s chaos. Only a matter of months after our referees withdrew their labour, we had to witness the match official, Calum Murray, being manhandled, while another player who had been dismissed brazenly walked to his own supporters in defiance. It is a tribute to his professionalism that Calum and his team kept calm.

“A degree of faith in Scottish football was lost last night. All parties must work together to help restore it.”

    Hmmmm.

When Lennon was rightly banned for man handling the ref in 2005 he was banned from all Scottish competitions including the league and cup games. At the time there was uproar at the leniency of Lennon's 3 match ban with none other than Ally McCoist in his Daily Record column saying a 5 match ban would have been scandalous.

The SFA are doing this to get it up Celtic. Say it like it is McBride <ok>

Also every Celtic website on the planet has been saying exactly the same thing as Paul McBride, the SFA are completely powerless to prevent freedom of speech.

Imagine what you could have won.... i.e 6 match ban for Boogs and a 6 match ban for Diouf... The irony of that outcome would have been those 2 players would have been unlikely to ever serve it....

    Regan away by end May?

The SFA don't have the bottle to take on Paul McBride. This is little more than hot air and bluster from the twats.

Can I ask y'all... Do you think this is anti-Celtic, pro-Rangers, anti-Catholic or just incompetent behaviour from the SFA?
