Futacs is a direct replacement for Howard - except he is much younger, much faster and much bigger. If he comes here, I for one will welcome him as we have one of the most accurate goalkeeper in the League in Kasper (Paul Robinson is the only other) and having a massive target man - while being boring route 1 stuff - can do the job in the last minutes of a game.
Nothing personal with him, and like I say, IF we sign him then I hope he proves me wrong. Just dont want a big bloke for the sake of it.
Granted last season, but in the previous 2 he's scored almost the same amount as futacs has in his whole career. But if you're happy with futacs who am I to rock the boat. Bless you
He's signing on a free FFS! He's only 22, with ages to improve. We have Nugent and Beckford ahead of him. I don't see the problem. Whereas signing an unknown for £2m is very odd.

Vardy is either going to be the next Kermogant or the next Rickie Lambert. I'm really not sure which yet. This is why pre-season is so exciting!
I think Vardy will do well. Nigel has done alot of scouting on him and wouldnt of paid that price tag if he didnt feel he could cut it in this league
Both Palacios and Valencia had made over 100 career appearances and scored a lot of goals before they went to Wigan. Bruce also had them both on loan before he signed him, so he knew what they was all about. This seems more like a wild punt.
I bet Waghorn will get about the same as him. Apart from the top teams the bundesliga is a poor league and your potential new signing plays in the 2nd divison

Even if Vardy gets half the goals of Mr. unknown, it would equate to equal value signings. But then I suppose you invite the old Heskey arguement of it "not being about how many goals he scores, but how much he contributes to the team". This is why I rate Nugent so highly. He was our top goalscorer AND worked hard for the team. A good all-round attacking player.
