Now I get it. Sorry, I'll delete that. They were treated horrendously as well. Dreadful choice of words. Apologies Gents.
If Terry is found guilty and fined the maximum sum, it will be the equivalent of someone on the UK average wage being fined £9.09.
Has anyone mentioned this yet? Funniest thing I've heard for ages! http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crim...ase-please-could-you-repeat-that-7936075.html
This does remind me of a thread idea I thought up but dismissed. Everyone can post once but instead of adding at the bottom (unless it's your first post) you overwrite your original comment. Defies the 4th dimension but didn't think it would catch on. Incidentally, 9s - you're e-bar has been a roaring success. Great idea indeed.
Clarke Carlisle has called for JT to be sacked if found guilty. Whilst his views are personal I'd be surprised if 1) Terry were to be found guilty and 2) He were to be sacked if he was... http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/332562/End-of-line-for-John-Terry-
I think justice will be made on point 1. As for point 2: Chelsea will never sack him... pointless even suggesting it.
His views might be "personal" but he is the chairman of the Professional Footballers’ Association and should remember that when he speaks many people will think that what he says is the view of the PFA. Quite frankly being sacked is absolutely absurd. However, Carlisle does have a TV programme to promote so he had to stand up and say something OTT to get the attention.
Interesting view of the case from the New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/13/w...terry-revolves-around-foul-language.html?_r=1 It's actually quite funny at times, seeing them skirt around so much of the actual language....
You're right, a man this stupid should never be on trial for anything. It's like arresting a 4 year old.
I predict a not guilty verdict with the judge calling him an idiot and warning him about future conduct.
