I would've thought that an important part of both Regan's and Doncaster's jobs would be the promotion of scottish football. Essentially they've been saying to all and sundry (including sponsors) that, actually, it's ****e and worth feck all unless Rangers are parachuted into the first division. I suspect they would make poor salesmen ...
So basically the working party is tasked to redo the structure of the leagues, if the clubs let Sevco into Division 1, but there is no legally binding agreement that anything has to actually be changed by them? In other words, they can turn round a few months down the line and tell the SFL clubs "Sorry, but actually we don't fancy changing **** all". And I can exclusively reveal who the "3 representatives from both the SPL and SFL" will be in this working party... please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Jim Ballantyne. Honest, Airdrie and SFL chairman. In no way whatsoever associated with Rangers. Or Sevco. At all. Honestly...
Is that the one with the totally innocent shares in Rangers too? Aye he's a real neutral right enough.
Oh no, he doesn't own any shares. His wife does though. As he gave them to her when he bought Airdrie. I also believe she was responsible for attaching the RFFF badge to his blazer when he sat in the directors box at the Linfield v Rangers fund raiser a few months ago... Speaking of which, that game fair did a right good bit for the bank account of Duffers & Felch eh?
Ah that's right, the thick **** thought that giving his shares to his wife would make a difference and it doesn't.
What use are shares in nothing? Fair play to Clyde, leading the way on this. "You cant beat a bit of Bully"
As OSP says, there's nothing at all binding in these proposals - they may never amount to anything if the SFL clubs vote the way Regan and Doncaster want. A case of 'Live, horse and you'll get grass' perhaps?
