10th 13th 12th RELEGATED 11th 13th 16th Sacked Some record in the Premier League and you believe he is the best and has a greater level of success?? So in fact he has never finished in the top half?
I am not claiming that he is the BEST ENGLISH manager to consistently finish in the TOP HALF of the premier league when he has actually never finished in the TOP HALF. Leeds are in the Championship and we have a manager with a great record at this level and at getting teams promoted, horses for courses
On the Bruce debate, he's a decent manager, but at the level of the top half of the Championship/bottom half of the premier league. We saw at Sunderland last season that with a big budget and higher expectations to push for a top half finish that he didn't do so well. But, he's got teams promoted from this league and has kept teams up in the premier league (which was within those teams expectations). For the position we find ourselves in now, Bruce is the best we could hope for. He ticks all the right boxes for trying to get out of this league and helping unfashionable clubs survive at the next level. After the names we could have had as manager I think the great majority of city fans were delighted with the appointment of Bruce and his managerial record gave us great promise. I honestly feel most teams in this league would be happy to have him as a manager, he's one of the best managers in this league.
You maintain an opinion of having a manager who has consistently finished in the top half of the premier league when he has never achieved it once, speaks volumes that does. Love how some of the fans turn to '**** off' when they have no answer and been proved wrong. Have a job thanks been self employed quite a while now At last someone speaking sense, I wouldn't say one of the best, in the top 10 maybe but time will tell. Wonder if it will be a Leeds or Hull fan bumping this thread in 10 months time
Correct, 11th is splitting hairs as it is still in and around the top half with an incredibly unfashionable club I resorted to **** off because you were boring me with tedious replies that smacks of someone who has too much time on their hands. If you're self employed business must be brisk. How precisely have I been proved wrong? You came onto our site stating Keith Hill was a better manager than Steve Bruce, clearly not. I from the top of my head quoted top half finishes, which was close (one top half finish a few not far off) either way a 36.5% win ratio with the majority of games in the top flight demonstrates that he IS a good manager, more so at this level. Thanks
I'm going to be honest here and if you check through my previous posts from his time at Sunderland you will find me calling him a useless ****. Signing a contract with us does nothing to prove otherwise so I still maintain he's a useless ****. However, fresh start clean slate. I'm willing to give him the chance to redeem himself and given his pre-sunderland success I fully believe he can do it, it's just whether or not he carries on being the useless **** he was at Sunderland or not really. And for no other reason than the fact he's the manager of hull city, yes he is undoubtedly the best manager in te league at this present time.
f**k off who do u think we think we are? who do you think you are? well you're not anymore wheras we might be.. get yer head round that..
I am with you. Top 2 for certain IF we can find the net alot more than last season.Learn from last season.
I will give him 12 months with you at most, if he fails miserably he will get the sack, if he succeeds he will be off the moment a better offer comes along. It isn't a dig at Hull he is just a useless prick who I don't rate either. I ****ing detest Bates, I can't wait for him to go. As a person I can't say I like Warnock however he is the Leeds manager and as long as he puts together a competitive team with a chance of promotion it won't matter what I feel for him as a person, it is his manager skills and record of promotion I am happy with. The team about to sign Alex Bruce - Great manager eh?
Ristac, I notice that you are a Leeds fan (in Northampton), but nevertheless, a Leeds fan. I wish to ask you a question, since you're here, not in relation to anything you've discussed already on this thread. It's just because you're a Leeds fan. Right, Alex Bruce is training with us at the moment. Fine. Maybe he'll sign? We don't know. Anyway, I've heard he spews everywhere all the time. Is this true, and is there a way to stop him? I only ask you as you're a Leeds fan. Thanks Party Hull!
I don't think many Leeds fans at all are bothered about keeping Warnock on if we get promoted. He's here to do one job: get us up. So I don't give a toss how well Steve 'What Are Tactics?' Bruce has done in the first division in comparison with him. Compare their records at this level. We'll get a first division manager when we're in the first division. For now, we quite possibly have the best man for the job.
Agree with this really. I thought he was a tosser when he was at Sunderland. Like when he said Alan Hutton was missing teeth or something ridiculous like that after Altidore leant his head against him. He made out like some massive facial disfigurement had occured and it was the softest 'headbutt' ever. He also tried to excuse Hutton's rolling on the floor in agony about it.
