Interesting to see Richard Lee there tonight. Do you think we should read anything into a visit from him? Just a friendly hello to his mates? With Loach probably going in the summer, what are the chances that RL will be back? i'd rather see him in goal than Gilmartin to be honest. Any thoughts?

I would think it's just a visit, Hornette. He's a bit of a hero with the Bees, would he want to risk coming back and us sign/promote someone else so he is second fiddle again?

Interesting if it happened, I haven't seen Rene Gilmartin play so I can't comment on his ability. Would be like going back to an old girlfriend, wierd.

Come to think of it Gilly where are you? Pfwoarr.

Hmm, probably right SLB. Though he was surrounded and signing autographs for ages during half time. i'm guessing he kind of enjoyed that a lot lol.

Zen - Gilmartin is not what i would call 'safe hands'. It's scary every time the ball goes into our half. He's got a long way to go, though he's made some good saves too, and i'm sure, in time, he'll be okay. It felt a bit like that with Tommy Smith lol...though i'm sure Gilly would be preferable for you ;)
Norway, do you think so? Isn't he a bit young still?

Richard Lee is a lovely bloke, but we need a better keeper. Gilmartin needs to improve, but I think Bondd will quickly come through as our next 1st choice.

As we know Lee is out for the season and didn't travel to Walsall, but he needs to concentrate on Brentford as he still needs to prove himself there in the long term.

As for girlfriends, I went back to Hannah and it was good for a while, but she isn't my wife! LOL don't tell the missus as they don't get on .........

I always thought he was a bit on the small side, he did put in some decent shifts for us though! (forces terminology!)

You just sprung a memory of Lee, always being a good shot stopper, very good reactions and vocal as well, he commanded his area, the defenders always knew what was what!

And that's good to hear, Hornette, re the autographs and everything. I always liked Lee. I was staggered when we sold him. Last summer I thought he was going to be No1 keeper with Loach sold.
The goalkeeping coaching option sounds good. He's a bright lad, and clearly pals still with Ben Foster, Alec C and Loach.

I think we should give Rene a go he is tall commands his area made an booboo on an early appearence , Scotties made a lot of errors this season , give Rene a run of 3 or 4 games and then judge him!

Rene screwed up against Brighton - so we dont know what happens next. Maybe Lee would be good if Loach goes.

What I meant was Rene made one howler and has disappeared!! Scotty has made a fair few howlers recentley and hasnt!!! I think young Scott has done fantastically over the last couple of years ,but I think he needs a breather now!

Its such a nuisance that Loach will not now command nearly the fee he would have a year ago - just when we probably will need to sell

£2m a year, they said. I don't think we'd get anything like that now.
