Hmmm, firstly, do we need another striker and also, being a free agent, we could be one of a number of clubs in talks with him. But would certainly have him on a free.
I think Schlupp will go out on loan either way. But it still would leave us with Nugent, Beckford, Vardy and Waghorn. Surely 5 strikers would be too many unless Nigel sees Vardy playing on the wing aswell as up front and then again during the year we made the play offs under Nigel we had alot of strikers. Fryatt, Howard, Waghorn, Campbell, Dickov, Kermorgant, Gallagher, Vaughan all was on the books over the season
True but Gally was exclusively a winger, Dickov and Campbell hardly played and Vaughan was only signed because of Fryatts injury. I think your right about him playing Vardy as a wide player/striker.
I'd be disappointed if beckford goes which may be a possibility if this signing happens as I can see him and nuge getting close to 50 goals between then with the right service from midfield
Me as well! Vardy and Waghorn will be wingers imho so we only have 3 - regardless, out of the ones we have, none of them are target men. Also out of those strikers you listed, how many of them did NP sign?
.. so what ... the whole population of Portsmouth did the season before . we can't sign all of them ...LOL
Party time. Not the finished article and will definitely not get us 25 goals a season. But when the chips are down and the time comes he'll be the one to come off the bench and give us that extra dimension. On a free this is cracking business.
