According to him McCoist was saying Rangers get in and have no punishments and everyone was going to conceed to this until Murray (****ing hunners of these Murray ****s) ruined it.

REGAN SET TO BAN RANGERS FROM SFA

FEARS are growing that Stewart Regan will block Rangers application to rejoin the Scottish Football Association if they are not voted into the First Division.

Regan has already been branded a liar by two Scottish Football League outfits after he attempted to wriggle off the hook, following his statement that if the Scottish Premier League had voted Rangers back into the top flight, he would have made sure they were frozen out by refusing to give them an SFA licence.

Clyde were the first club from the SFL to express surprise at Reganâs denial he had made such a promise. Clyde insisted he made the promise.

They have now been joined by Morton, whose chairman, Douglas Rae, has written a letter to SPL chief executive, Neil Doncaster, who is also under fire, making his view clear that when Regan issued his denial, the SFA supremo was not believed.

Now that two clubs have called the veracity and integrity of Stewart Regan into question in such a brazen manner, it is hard to see how the SFA chief executive can continue to exert any authority.

But this is Scotland. This is Scottish football. This is the Scottish Football Association.

And this is Stewart Regan, a man who has caused nothing but turmoil and division in the game since he arrived to take over almost two years ago.

Regan and Doncaster want Rangers in the First Division and they have resorted to bullying tactics in the case of Doncaster and according to Clyde and Morton, in the case of Regan, lies too.

Both of those clubs insist that what Stewart Regan made clear was, if the SPL voted Rangers back in, then he would make sure they could not play in the top flight by effectively banning the Ibrox club from the Scottish Football Association.

Regan did not want Rangers in the SPL and that was the extent he was willing to go to in order to get what he wanted.

Now he does not want Rangers in the Third Division. He wants them parachuted into the First Division.

Therefore, it is logical to conclude that if the SFL clubs snub that parachute proposal and vote to admit Rangers to the SFL at the lowest level, the Third Division, Regan will attempt to push the nuclear button and refuse the Rangers application to rejoin the Scottish Football Association.

It now appears as though Regan is a man on a mission and that there is nobody inside Hampden either willing or able to hold him to account.

The impression grows with each Regan rant and bullish threat, that the Full Board of the Scottish Football Association is impotent and unable to control the actions of their employee.

Unless, of course, it is the case that the Full Board of the SFA actually agree with the way in which Regan is behaving.

If that is the case then let them issue a statement. Let the Full Board of the Scottish Football Association come out of the closet and act like men. Let them state clearly that they back all the actions of their employee, SFA chief executive Stewart Regan.

For the record and once again, the Full Board of the Scottish Football Association, on which Regan sits as chief executive, is made up of President, Campbell Ogilvie, First Vice President, Alan McCrae, Second Vice President, Rod Petrie, Ralph Topping from the SPL, Tom Johnston of the Scottish Junior FA, plus the SFAâs first ever non executive director, Barrie Jackson, a man whose professional experience has been in the drinks trade.

It is time for these men to stand up and be counted.

Time for newspapers to take up this clarion call and demand an emergency meeting of the Full Board of the Scottish Football Association be called as a matter of some urgency.

And that Stewart Reganâs employers demand their chief executive explain in clear and concise English, why two of their oldest member clubs, Clyde and Morton, have gone public with statements which brand Regan a liar.

For if they do not act and act now, the danger is that when the SFL meet on Friday they will refuse the Regan-Doncaster axis demands to parachute Rangers into the First Division.

That would set in motion the machinery to admit Rangers to the SFL in the Third Division, with Regan then springing into action to block the Rangers request for membership of the SFA, effectively banning Rangers from playing in any league, or any kind of football anywhere in the world.

Stewart Regan appears to be a clear and present danger to the future well being of Scottish football and it is time his bosses on the Full Board of the SFA stopped him in his tracks.

REGAN AND DONCASTER AS UNTRUSTWORTHY AS CHARLES GREEN

WHAT have Scottish Football Association chief executive Stewart Regan, his Scottish Premier League counterpart, Neil Doncaster and Sevco chief executive Charles Green got in common?

Nobody trusts them!

Not Charles Green, who is a proven liar, not Stewart Regan who has been accused of lying by two of his SFA’s member clubs and not Neil Doncaster, who appears to commit the sin of omission.

And to join them in the dock, let’s put the once mighty Herald newspaper.

For if clubs think the impact of the loss of Rangers from the SPL for three seasons won’t be as bad as they first thought, based on a piece in Wednesday’s Herald, they should think again.

Though none of the true figures I shall reveal should deflect the 30-strong Scottish Football League chairmen from doing the right thing, the thing based on honesty and decency and on sporting integrity, which is voting Rangers into the Third Division.

For the article in the Herald is a hotchpotch of cod calculations based more on lies and damned lies than on proper accountable statistics.

A bit like the jam tomorrow deal concocted in a back room, possibly on the back of an envelope by Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster, which promises a 16-team SPL if the SFL will just do as they are told and vote Rangers into the First Division.

And to blazes with all integrity!

Given that Clyde and Morton have already said that Stewart Regan has lied to them, it is hard to imagine any SFL chairman, whose head is not zipped up the back, falling for this latest brazen blandishment from Regan and Doncaster.

Especially when the fine print shows the SPL chairmen have not voted for the deal.

In fact, it is actually a deal they voted against not all that long ago, as it would have meant dividing the cake into more and smaller slices.

However, with those SPL chairmen, you never quite know what is coming next.

The Regan-Doncaster false promise, plus the Herald television tosh, are just the latest in a long line of shots in the dark which have been fired and presented as facts in this sad sorry saga of what to do with Rangers now that they have been excluded from the Scottish Premier League in a short sighted act of foolish hatred and bigotry.

Everyone has been running around in a blue(green?) funk trying to tell the Scottish Football League clubs what to do to save the Scottish Premier League from the financial meltdown they have brought down on their own clubs.

Apart from the Herald, which cooked up figures from some guy in Asia called Steven Burns who is a St Johnstone fan who blogs under the name of Saintinasia.

Why is that Noel Coward’s name immediately pops into my mind?

Something to do with Mad Dogs and Englishmen?

Or in this, case daft dugs and a Scotsman?

The Herald wandered down that newspaper silly season road, at a time when the season is anything but silly.

Which is a shame. For in recent weeks, much of what it has published on the Rangers subject, particularly the news stories unearthed by Richard Wilson and the insightful comment from Michael Grant, has recalled the time when the Herald was a better newspaper than it is nowadays.

But they have both been posted missing from the paper’s pages in the last couple of weeks, presumably having escaped to recharge their batteries.

None of which is an excuse for the Herald allowing such nonsense to infiltrate their pages.

Nonsense which suggested that Rangers in the SPL and their supporters as Sky Sports subscribers and viewers, are not really needed and will not be badly missed.

This theory is based on some cod figures which you could drive a coach and four through.

For a start, the Herald says there are 645,000 Sky subscribers in Scotland. It does not say whether all of them take the Sky Sports package.

The Herald then tells us that in season 2010-2011 the average viewing figures for Sky Sports SPL matches was 247,000.

A lot less than half of the total Sky subscribers’ tally.

The Herald then goes on to mention that if you only include matches shown on Sky Sports which did not feature Rangers, the figures did not drop all that dramatically .

According to the Herald, the average for matches not involving Rangers was 180,000 .

The Herald went on to ask how a drop of 27per cent in viewing figures can equate with the predicted slashing of Sky’s Â£16M a year offer to just Â£3M?

But that is a simplistic way of viewing the matter of viewers. For season 2010-2011, was an Old Firm neck-and-neck race to the wire for the title, a championship chase which went to the very last day of the season.

Therefore, on days when Rangers were not being shown live on Sky, Celtic’s matches were and given the closeness of the title tussle it is reasonable to believe just as many Rangers supporters as Celtic ones watched those games.

That is the reality of the figures.

On top of which, Rangers supporters have already started swamping Sky Sports to cancel their subscriptions, subscriptions which are increasing in price this summer by a whopping 8.2per cent.

As I argued some days ago, it only requires five per cent of the 200,000 Rangers fans from throughout Britain who mustered in Manchester – that’s 10,000 people – to cancel their Sky Sports subscriptions and to tell Sky why they are doing it, for it to make an Â£8M-a-year-hole in the Sky Sports budget and put the Sky bean counters on red alert.

And those who think this is tosh, small fry which won’t affect Sky unduly, just because Sky have lashed out over Â£1Billion on their new English Premiership deal, may want to ask themselves how it is Sky can afford those big bucks?

Could it be because they don’t splash the cash with any sort of generosity when it comes to other deals? Other deals which do not really matter to them.

That is the reality of what the vindictive bigoted supporters of Scottish Premier League clubs bullied their lily livered chairmen into voting for.

A decision Stewart Regan said he approved of when he revealed he would have blocked a vote in favour of Rangers being accepted into the SPL.

That is why Stewart Regan is not trusted.

And why he and his pal Neil Doncaster and their stitch up of a false and undeliverable promise of a 16-team SPL if the SFL vote Rangers into the First Division should be given short shrift.

Only integrity and honesty can engender trust.

And who would trust Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster? What have Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster done to engender trust?

That is why they have a lot in common with Charles Green.

Incidentally, in case you're wondering why he always suggests bigotry is at fault for not voting "Rangers" into the SPL, I read an online blog yesterday by a Hun that suggested that Scotland, although Protestant, was "anti-protestant protestant".

A thought ocurred to me today. According to Leggo and most of the MSM stalwarts, Traynor, Iain King, "Union" Jackson and others would have us believe that the people who want to see Rangers fail do so because they are bigots.

Do you ever recall any of them accusing everyone who hated Neil Lennon of being simply hateful bigots, or did they suggest his "personality" was to blame?
