At least until Liverpool try and sign John Toshack, Mel Charles and Cliff Jones based on the fact they're Swansea players Rodgers can sign...

  2. I've just been having a gander on the Gooner board. I cannot believe that there is a growing number of Gooners who are actually engaging in the fantasy that RvP wanting to leave AFC to double his wages at £ity has all been a horrible dream, and that, in fact, he intends to sign a new deal with the club, make an apology for slagging off the board and Whinger, and everything will be rosy once again in the garden.

Part of me is thinking: <rofl>

Another part of me is thinking: <doh>

But, by and large, I actually find it all so very, very sad.

It sure looks like Chesney is taking one in the picture (which may be your joke, I'm not sure)!

who exactly said that? Similar to the modric situation for you guys i imagine most of you don't want a player who doesn't want to play for you. Similarly most arsenal fans dont want a player like rvp who has no sense of loyalty towards the club. Tbh can't blame you lot for being optimistic considering you've got gylfi, vertonghen (both great buys imo) but mocking us already is a bit premature don't you think. For the record i haven't mocked you guys for no other reason other than the fact that it always comes back to haunt me and i end up looking stupid..errrr..more often than usual! At any rate this will be an interesting year.

Fair enough but it's all part of the fun of the rivalry laughing at eachother and then having to eat your words. Mostly it's only half serious, RVP leaving might not kill Arsenal's chances of a top 4 spot but you'd be hard pressed to find a Spurs fan that didn't find him leaving funny :)

  7. This thing, though, is this. We won't be damaged by Moddy leaving, because he did not carry our team last season. In fact, last season was probably one of the worst he has had with us.

AFC, on the other hand, will be devastated without RvP.

We all have our own styles and preferences, with the essential split between those who really enjoy the banter and don't mind providing some fodder for more, and those who tend to avoid premature jocularity. I'm with the last group.

The wise at sunset praise the day,
the wife when she has passed away,
the bridge when it is crossed, the bride
when tumbled, and the horse when tried...
