I asked my mam if she went to see the Stones and she said no, was never a fan then or now. She did go to see the Beatles, the Dave Clarke Five and the Kinks at the ABC. I'm quite interested in local history so nice to see peoples comments here after starting this thread up.

The Stones were on at Brid Spa twice. 02/05/64, which was Cup Final Day, when a young Howard Kendall ,17' got rave reviews for his performance for the Preston team which was beaten by West Ham and again a few weeks later after It's All Over Now had become their first number one. That was the first time Brian Jones used hs famous white guitar in this country. The film of the Stones at the ABC was the first time they were filmed in colour.
