    The premier league is king and rightly so but i would really love a great cup run this year. I hope MH gives it a shot.

    should have the squad to do it. any further than the 4th round and we'll get a nosebleed!

    I was thinking the exact same thing, there is no reason at all with a few more signing that we couldn't land one. 33/1 to win the Capital Cup and 50/1 for the FA cup with Paddy Power.

    Yeah - starting with Rochdale (or Northampton or Vauxhall Motors)! Then Chelsea at home!!

    I always hate it when managers put out weakened teams in the cups. I understand the pragmatic, boring reasons for it. But football's more than that isn't it? Imagine us in the last 4 of the cups. That would be brilliant!!! (That Clive Allen goal that put us in the cup final anyone?)

    Yep, i feel the same, the cup will always be something special. From giant killing to the anticipation of who you get in the next round.

    If anyone remembers last season....I actually suggested that we DO NOT PLAY in the 3rd Round of the cup. Can we default, ask for a bye to the 4th round get Brentford to play in our place

    Two years ago, our most influential player Mackie broke his leg against Blackburn
    Last year against MK Dons our most influential player Ali tore his ligaments

    Both took/will take near on a year to get back (Ali may be quicker)....So lets not have a cup run, lets go away in Jan and accidentally forget to turn up

    I am always disappointed with our lack of cup runs in the past 10 years or so but on the other hand we probably would not have been promoted if NW concentrated too much on the cups.

    By the way speaking of NW I bet we draw Leeds in one of the cups, now that would be a juicy tie.

    I think we have sometimes and sometimes not our promotion year is an example, however we simply have had a piss poor record as far as cup runs go.
