Well at least the Pozzo family do have a proven track record in football. I wonder if the same can be said here? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18791016
I really hope this works out for you guys but I hope you don't become a feeder club to those they have in Italy. I would love to have you back in the premier. Maybe we will draw each other in the cup. Would love a trip back down your way, last time was the 80's.
Thanks Billy, all one can say at present is that the new management are all singing from the same hymn sheet and saying the right things. Only time will tell what the reality will be.
If proven, I hope they get the book thrown at them. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11700/7889272/FIFA-probe-Lundekvam-claims
Well the blazers being on the take is no surprise at all. They are on a self perpetuating gravy train and I reckon it's rotten to the core. Even when they have their legal jollies it's a sickening insult to us, the fans... their 'let them eat cake' attitude. Why else do we now have 32 teams at the WC2014 and 24 at Euro2016? Why bother with the qualifying?? One big jolly piss up for the blazers and a ridiculously expensive time for the fans - HTF are we supposed to sustain this? - let alone match after match for the players.... 10 matches at the WC for the finalists and 3/4 place players... quarter of a season in a month. The likes of Messi played 60 games for Barca last season, likely as not he'll play the same again this season and then again plus qualifiers for Argentina. Yes I want to watch the best players play but FFS they'll all be in zimmerframes (or worse) by the time they get to 40th birthday. Utter, utter madness.
on another tack.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18538963 Do you think that Warnock and Kenny have got something going....?
"Nottingham Forest part company with manager Steve Cotterill with immediate effect." New owners again and the first thing to do is? Think I have seen this sort of statement recently elsewhere.
So Rangers have been put into Div 3 up there! So sweepstake on how many points Celtic will finish top by for the next few seasons? I will go with a cumulative of 100!
Terry found not guilty. Not exactly surprised and bet the FA are relieved as they don't really have to deal any punishment out!
Can't say that I'm surprised either - just as I won't be surprised by the numbers who can't/won't accept the magistrates decision and still claim that he is guilty. Always thought that it was a pointless exercise - it has only served to line the pockets of the QCs who argued the cases. What I wouldn't be surprised to find is that the whole business has turned large numbers away from the game thanks to the unedifying nature of, and sheer stupidity shown by all involved.
Some might feel the F and C word Terry used is more offensive than the comment he got into trouble for.
Personally, I find all of the comments made and bad language used offensive - and not just from Terry's mouth but all the others too. They made a total mockery of the FA's Respect Campaign.
Exactly...and I doubt much will change even if Terry had been found gulity (what is a small fine to these footballers?)
I think it would have ended his England career. He's not the automatic first choice that he was three or four years ago, and unless he was the FA wouldn't have allowed a convicted racist to be selected. A line should be drawn under this now. Terry and the Ferdinand family have both had a rough ride over this for the last nine months, and given that Terry was found not guilty in court of being racist, I don't see how you can punish him without also punishing Anton (who openly admitted to being abusive).
Total waste of time and money - what cracked me up the most was that AF admitted that he did not hear the comment, so who did?
An off duty policeman reported it. Terry did admit to saying the comment but only repeating what Ferdinand said.
