I see you visit Adams Park on Sat 2nd October. We like to join in with other clubs so feel free to pop over any time. We're a friendly bunch.

 

To be honest I can't wait for the season to start. Bleddy tennis, usual from England in the Euros and now just the Olympics to get out of the way and the serious stuff can start. This site usually wakes up from it's hybernation at first kick off. Not many of us on here these days but we are a friendly bunch also. They just need a poke with a cattle prod to get going sometimes.

 

Calm down sensible.........I'm just chilling out for awhile..........actually going away next Mon/Fri so you'll have to struggle along and keep Mrs laLa in check without me.

Does anyone know how many clubs of our stature [i.e. lowly] have the single-club equivalent of PASOTI and ADT to dilute their presence on the multi-club/multi-sport sites like this one?

Hope you are going somewhere nice next week Plym. I'm off for a weekend in Kent next Friday to Monday. Not a holiday as such just a wekend somewhere else for a change. This is supposed to be summer but today it has pee'd down all day long and it is really quite depressing.

Hiya Sensible I wish I were surfing the net for men in tight shorts, the truth is work has been very hectic the last month so although I have been coming on and reading the posts I've been too tired to actually post anything myself. I've also been severely traumatised ..... I was up at Southampton for a christening and the sadists that I was staying with took me past not once, not twice but three times St. Mary's ground ..... I loved the gasometers about 40 feet away from it and all the ugly pipe work that went with them lol ..... how is everyone ? Anyone else building an Ark ? I was but couldn't quite get the hang of it ...... have room on my raft though if anyones interested lol

 

Hi Gat, hope you have gotten over the trauma now. I know what you mean about the raft and Ark thing. Keep a place I might just pop over. It really is enough now isn't it. We will all be down with a dose of the SAD thing before we can get to the season's start. Was over in Spain a few weeks back and it was lovely. Got back to Portsmouth on the ferry and it was raining. It feels like it's been raining ever since.

Not much to get excited about on the Argyle front anyway so far is there. Signed a couple and lost a couple but hardly sets the pulse racing. I'm still waiting for some signing that gives it all a lift.

 

Nice to hear your still around Gat-Po.......this Noah Ark thing is getting beyond a joke isn't it.......I hav'nt had to buy any petrol yet this year for the mower.......I'm still using what was in the container from last year...........only had the lawn dry enough four times this year to use my cylinder mower so far.........the moment a ban on using your hose came in it just didn't stop raining........now no one as told the rainmakers that the damn ban as been stopped........I've been continually forking one area of the lawn to stop it turning into a paddy field.

 

I dont wish to make you feel even more depressed, I can't remember where I heard it but its supposed to be lasting until December and we all know what happens next ... snow and ice ..... yipee .... whoever pinched the sun please give it back !!!

 

Although we are all going to be suffering from SAD soon on a more positive note at least we arn't in the position that Rangers are in or starting the season with - 10 points like Pompey will be ..... see there are blue skies behind the clouds !

Oh and I forgot I've signed up a junior green up in Southampton ...... hopefully I shall be able to convert her totally as she grows older ..... at the moment she is only one lol

 

Just keep telling her she has always been a green and loves them and they will believe anything. Nothing wrong with brain washing in the right place.
