Ok I want to buy a smartphone but don't want to spend much money, I can get a Samsung Galaxy Ace for £7.50 p/m with calls and internet and all the usuall crap.

I know it's a really old version and I'm not to bothered about that, what I want to know is do all the apps still work on the old smartphones or will I find myself restricted to what apps I can have.

Waaaaaaaay off any topic but I need help as don't want to end up with a useless phone for the next 2 years.

Yeah it's an old phone now but it's not 2nd hand and the phone is free I just pay £7.50 p/m 1.5G download 100 mins unlimited texts sounds good to me but if I can only have certain apps then no good so need help.

 

**** me, that kind of deal starts minimum 20 a month and if you get the full boar then it is more like 50-70 a month depending on your provider and plan.

I'd be happy with the phone but I do like to have all the up to date programmes and apps I'm just worried that I'll be stuck with something that doesn't handle the new stuff.

 

Get a Blackberry. Excellent phones, have had one for a year. could not be without it.

 

Ta! But I like touch screens defo going for a samsung but I either get this ace or wait 3 months and get a newer version, just found a tech forum that says all apps other than some games (which I don't care about) work fine, I may go for it, the price is great.

 

I've had two blackberries had a blackberry torch first then had a blackberry bold 9900 whoch was really nice, cost me 325 smackers though! I liked them both but my first got ****ed up and my second got barred

Got an iPhone 4 now, although I'd have another blackberry if I could but would rather keep my iPhone atm

Btw - both Blackberries I've had were touchscreen too luv.

 

Fair play, might try an iPhone when the Blackberry goes to mobile heaven.

 

I have a Samsung Galaxy S plus. didn't have a bad word to say about it until last Wednesday when it conked out on me (its been repaired and should be back in my hand tomorrow though )

Good phone though, never been happier with a phone purchase. And I'm sure the newer versions are much better too

I like blackberries but this iPhone is by far the best phone I've had .. And trust me, I've had a lot of phones!

Last years I changed my phone three times !

Luv, I've got a galaxy S2 for personal and a blackberry curve for work. Both excellent but the Samsung is comfortably the better of the two. They cost a few more quid on a contract but you'd want for nothing else. May be cheaper now the S3 is out. Blackberry more of a business phone.

 

This is all bollocks.. Wait til October and get an iPhone 5.

I have a 4 which is by far better than any samsung or blackberry I ever had.. The 4s is better so the 5 will be even better..

I can upgrade next month but am waiting for the 5

I have a 4 . The guy at vodafone promised me a 5 for free.. So will wait to the very end of my contract to upgrade..
