This is the tagline for the new home kit to be revealed on 13th of this month.

Going by the clubs 'Oranje is het nieuwe zwart' translating to 'Orange is the new black' it's safe to say that our home kit for the season ahead will be striped. Whether this is Newcastle stripes or Southampton's new pinstripes remains to be seen.

What's everyone's opinion? Personally, I don't like it. I wasn't happy about the shorts not being black last season. White shirt/back shorts is a classic, but this is too much.

Bandit, our threads obviously 'crossed in the post', and you beat me to it. Glad you mentioned the black shorts - with you all the way.

[This is just copying my comments from the other post, to keep everything in one place]

As anticipated the Club have today issued information about the new home kit. However rather than show it in it's full glory, they are yet again drip feeding us with clues -

    http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/Ne...y/Stripes.aspx

So STRIPES it is. A while back we had quite a decent one with red and black thin stripes and I could live with that. If however it's thick black stripes a la Newcastle it will be a resounding nono from me. Given that they've only just officially started selling the Oranje Away Kit (how lit takes so long to organise something you've got 9 months to plan for is beyond me), I guess it will be another week or so of taunting adverts before we know exactly what it looks like.

Honestly I can't be doing with all these PR stunts. Or Kappa for that matter.

The red and black stripes was an OK kit, but only for away. The color of Fulham's home kit is white. Does anyone remember the last time our home kit was anything other than white?

I hope it’s nicer than that horrendous orange kit we have…

I'm waiting to actually see it before making any judgements. I share the worries though.

Like C58 says, I'd settle for pinstripes, but barcodes? No thanks...

Here's closer look at the 83/84 pinstripe shirt (like the badge) - Fulham shirt 83-84.jpg

I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. My initial reaction isn't a good one, though. I like the plain white- I'd have preferred us to have gone for something more akin to the England World Cup 2010 kit

I think this is on a par with Cardiff City's change of home color from blue to red. If you ask anybody to identity a color with any club in the league, for example, Arsenal/Red, Villa/Claret, Chelsea/Blue, Utd/Red, City/Blue, their answer to Fulham would be white. I know that there will probably be some white on the kit but to be honest it should all be white, why fix it if it isn't broken? Do what you like with the away kits, the awful sickly green of two years ago and this years horrid Wolves-esque away kit but try and keep some consistency with the home kit!

That was Swansea I think, and it was their third kit that was red, not their home. And we haven't even seen the kit, save your rage for when it gets unveiled!

It was Cardiff. Their Malaysian owners wanted to change to red for promotional reasons, something to do with Red and Asia etc. They've even refunded season tickets due to angry fans views towards the change.

I was thinking of a thread a while back then...

And oof, their home kit really has been changed to red, blue is their away now. What are they going to call themselves now? The Redbirds? :(

Thankfully our owner, despite being a bit eccentric, actually cares about our club's tradition.

I'm hoping it's pinstripes, that would actually look ok.

That Siena shirt isn't so bad, at least it isn't full-on Newcastle. Would prefer thinner stripes though...

I think if it is going to be stripes (which it seems it is) then pin stripes would be the best choice. Given the recent Kapa kits though and the new away kit I’m not too hopefull though.
