Improved massively defensively and work rate last year, now just needs to learn to temper when you use his god given gift and when not too. I think Hughes and team competition will continue improving him. Very pleased.

4 years means he's yet another player that's bought into the Fernandes-Mittal vision. With Tarbs, Park, Cisse, Diakite etc quality players will want to come to us which may make Sparky's job easier in the next few weeks
My favourite signing of the Summer. I remember back on the BBC 606 site before and after he signed permanently that my support for him was in the minority and a lot wanted him out in favour of try hard no talent players we were used to seeing in recent years (you know who you are!!) I’m far too young to be around for the days of Marsh and Bowles but been brouight up on stories about them. When I’m older it will be Adel who I’m passing on stories about and raving about how good he was.
Excellent news almost counts as a new signing as there was always the fear he might have left. Good move to give him the 10 shirt as he's a confidence player as he showed when captain in that great season. If it was up to me I'd give him back the captaincy but somehow I doubt that will happen with MH.
Oddball and North, this is a valid question so you should lay off. NY, it was probably offered as a sweetener as part of the deal. This is great news for the Club as the boy has bucket loads of talent. Hopefully he gets his act together and shows everyone what he can do. And if/when he does, I'll be the first to heap the praises on him.

Great to see Stainrod, Byrne, Wegerle there... and the Bowles impish grin!! All said and done.. watching Adels skills is totally mesmerising. This new contract could be the one thing he (and we) need to focus him now. It's a committment and he knows he's got to knuckle down and fulfill the possibilities that exist with that unique talent he has. He could be massive... let's hope so!
