I really rate him. With RvP & Theo wobbling on being around next season, if Villas-Boas brings in a couple of decent players and keeps the ones he has, and Jack struggles for form / fitness, Spurs have a genuine chance of overtaking Arsenal next season. The battle for Top4 is getting harder and harder - City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool (possibly, though maybe still a little short), Arsenal & Spurs makes 5 or 6 going into 4, and that doesn't match.

Could be the most exciting season ever!!

Exactly. I think it'll make the premiership one of the most exciting seasons for a long time. What is certain is the Manchester clubs will take the two top spaces but Chelsea and Spurs are uncertainties. Both appear to be strengthening and are capable enough to get into the top 4. Will Chelsea be good enough to challenge, that's anyones guess, but a top 4 finish is more certain next season for them. Spurs, how will AVB get them to play? They have the players to get 3rd or 4th, but can AVB get them to fire?

We have the experience of always getting top 4 finishes and with Wenger, we are one of the favourites to get 3rd or 4th. My guess is we'll get 4th, especially with RVPs pending departure. Will Walcott leave, this is uncertain also and would push us back a fair bit. He is another senior player and was a consistent performer over last season. Should he leave, then his goals and assists will be greatly missed.

Have Spurs lost Modric yet? If they lose him and don't get a quality replacement like Moutinho/Veloso then they'll be nowhere next season.

Veloso's just moved to Dynamo Kiev and looked awful at the Euros, not sure how he'd be a 'quality replacement'.

He looked alright to me. You're right, it seems he moved to Kiev last week. If Modric moved, you wouldn't have any quality passers in the middle though right?

It seems AVB read my mind: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18798328 (looks like Modric may go, and be replaced by Moutinho)

Moutinho would be an upgrade imo.

Huddlestone's got a great passing range but yeah, if we sold Modric and didn't get a replacement we'd struggle. Tommy's been out for pretty much a whole season and would have a lot of improvement to make to step up to Luka's level.

Fortunately we're not the type of team to save the money raised from the sale of a key player so I'm sure he will be replaced and depending on the level of quality we may improve our side in another area rather than trying to replace someone of Modric's quality with another player of that quality in the same position as there aren't many of them out there. You guys will face a similar problem when RVP leaves.
