Swords, Were you born with that incredible gift - the ability to wind people up all the time. You can agree with DL, as many of us do, but why can't you leave it at that? Or are we getting to the underlying problem namely you do not see anything wrong in racially abusing another human being. Please let us know then shut up.
Do we know yet who alerted the police to this....and will they be called? One thing that has always fascinated me, was that I thought I remembered that Terry first said,,,that he called Kenny " a fat C***" and never spoke to anton. Did I imagine that, or has that bit of farce been neatly forgotten?
Neither of the above, my friend. Quite simply, Terry and Ferdinand are a pair of jokers who deserve nothing but fines and suspensions. That would make them think twice next time before making their Clubs a laughing stock for the sake of their egos.
....and then he'll call for his pipe and he'll call for his bowl and he'll call for his mates' missus's three
Exactly what is it that Anton Ferdinand has done that could possibly warrant a fine or a suspension? Just asking because I know there's no credible answer you could give, mate...
have to say I agree...nuts to think that Ferdy deserves any kind of punishment for this fiasco...sorry Swords, think you need to re-think your stance on this one fella
Dunno if this is a re-post, sorry if it is, but if not it makes for a good read over some lunch http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/interactive/2012/jul/10/john-terry-police-interview-text
I suppose this has been mentioned before (can't be arsed to read all the BS), but a member of the public reported Terrys remarks, NOT AF. Terry DID make a racist remark AND now he is lying his chavvy arse off to get away with it!
**** a penguin Swords: Terry is guilty of the public disorder BUT he is not a racist and I would say that Ferdinand hasn't put a foot wrong in this whole affair regardless that he is QPR. Explain to the entire board what he has done? This a clear case of things getting out of hand. It was always going to be a test spotlight case so let them all look like twats .... Ferdinand is not one of them. John Terry was always the perfect person for this to happen to ... what comes around goes around ... he could have said sorry but wasn't brave enough
I read the police statement Terry made and it is dire reading, his opening statement was like a CV of how good I am then the police rips him to shreds and his brief even was bemused by one of Terry's claims which contradicted his statement. In regards to the so called wrongdoing by Anton according to a member on here..... are you for real and as yet you have not answered the question in regards to what has Anton done wrong? If one of our players was in Terry's position I would still have an opinion that racism is wrong in any form... my nephews who are at junior school have received it from parents and it disgusts me as does what Terry said.
Quote from Ashley Cole: "If you're saying that Loftus Road is louder than The Emirates, I'd say 'no, its not'" Daniel taylor, Guuardian reporter at the trial ( twitter 'DTguardian ) How can anybody give the rest of his testimony any credibility after telling a bare-faced lie like that!
Rather than risk falling out with any fellow QPR fans by commenting on their various arguments about the value and purpose of this trial, I decided instead to write a piece that rips into the nonsense written by various knobs on Twitter: http://thisismyengland.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/john-terry-and-army-of-twits.html
Earlier in the month I objected to a fellow R being called a "Kraut" on here and was told it's only PC ****wits that are offended by such banter. Are we being PC zealots by calling Terry's banter racist here?
It is also down to the dampening effect the space around the noise has, as at Loftus Rd the space is limited and there is a high side design to it which enables sound to reverberate more than at a mor bowl like structure where the sound is allowed to leave the area pretty quickly. The closeness of the fans to the pitch at Loftus Road also makes a difference as the sound has less distance to travel before a player would hear it and as such be louder... thats just my take on sound waves anyhow.
Not at all. I find the term extremely offensive. The tone does matter as does body language. It doesn't matter whose story is to believed what we know for a fact is that it wasn't said in a jokey manner. It was a serious gesture/allegation
Hi DL, Given this then, and given that there's no doubt that a) it was said, and b) it was said in a serious, aggressive manner during a heated exchange, surely the verdict has to be guilty? I don't see how the defence can possibly mitigate the incident now that we know what we know?
