http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18786041 Shawcross?!?!?! No thanks. And here's me thinking we wanted to build on what Speed put in place. Decent football with a chance of qualifying for a tournament.
Have to agree, but no so much on footballing terms - He's a semi-decent centre back, perhaps a slight improvement on Collins (based largely on the fact Collins is rarely 100% clear of injury) My issue is that "stated in 2011 he had no intention of playing for Wales" I remember that at the time and he laughed it off and I seem to recall him being a bit rude about the idea. I have NO desire for him to be "tempted" back to Wales, we shouldn't be anyone's second choice. This story (IF TRUE) makes Colemen look like a plank...which I'm starting to fear may actually be the case.
...Completely agree , i was going to post a long and detailed rhetoric about Shawcross but iv'e condensed it somewhat to ..**** HIM !!
I have never been a fan of Coleman, and I don't understand this move, as Shawcross is not even a player I rate, hell we got Taylor from Blue square Wrexam, is he saying that there is no other talented players out there he can look at? This to me is lazy management and poor vision on Coleman's part, let alone the fact that it questions his endorsement of Speeds foundation for Wales, which was clearly based on the Swansea model. You pay peanuts, you get a monkey!.......................
Absolutely agree Norfolk. Why on earth would we want to go begging to someone who mocked us? I think we all realise that a country like ours is never going to be world champions, but surely we have to hang on to our pride. This is a bit worrying if CC is thinking that he is managing a club side and that he can import players. His job should be about developing a style that can make a squad as effective as possible.
He had his chance last year no more to be said really. Totally agree with your comments there clingo.
