Greedy. They got paid more than most of us will ever get and that apparently wasn't enough. Beneath contempt. I lost count of the amount of times I was at FP, the game would start and the ball was immediately hoofed into the South stand. This was going on years ago.
Another 2 articles on it - part of a big series tomorrow I guess: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...candal-Claus-Lundekvam-spot-fixing-claim.html http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...red-kneecap-revenge-for-spot-fix-blunder.html
Well at least Claus has come out and admitted it. I think that makes him less of a prat than the various other Premier League players who took part. Still though, it's not like they were fixing games.
Said a few months back he was a idiot and how the **** he is in is his own fault. Someone had a go at me over it, saying how he was legend etc. Still a complete dick tho.
True enough. It doesn't cast doubt upon every result in English football history like the Sun are trying to claim, it just makes everyone involved a prat.
No I agree. I for one am very glad the Claus has come out. It's shameful to think that this thing could still go on. All those years of watching the ball go out etc...
What a muppet Claus, although he is correct on footballers do live in a bubble. I could imagine there are some ex players from all different clubs out there s**ting themselves right now.
No wonder Nicola Cortese wants to distance the present Saints from those that went before. I can't believe Nigel and He would allow anything like that to go on at the club, and I wouldn't mind betting they all have a little chat to make sure it won't start again either. Also, I'm glad Claus has seen to sense to come clean.
Yeah this story is likely to be blown way out of proportion. At the end of the day, the only people being cheated were probably some big, heartless betting companies. If people start going on about how a bunch of Saints players fixed games, I'm going to get really annoyed. This is nothing compared to what's been happening in Italy. The rest of them who were involved should probably come out and admit it immediately. It'll be a lot easier on them if they do.
