It would certainly show intent, BUT we should have had him 3 years ago for 15 mil.... 16.30 BST: Here are the quotes from Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade on the fee for Stevan Jovetic: "We have always said that we do not want to sell him. However, we have an agreement with the player that we will consider offers above a certain figure," Prade said. "We will only sit down and discuss offers above €30m [£23.7m]. He has the potential to become a top player like [Roma's Francesco] Totti. We have not yet received any offers for Stevan, though."
for me its getting silly cos theres so much getting made up... if rodgers jsut really did question carroll's mentality by mistake its a huger error imo on his part to publically say that.... aside from that it seems everything is made up
17.01 BST: More on Fabio Borini to Liverpool. His representative Marco De Marchi told Radio Radio: “Roma has informed us of Liverpool’s interest in the boy. Now it’s up to Fabio to have his say. Would the player want to go to Liverpool? Honestly, I don’t want to commit myself as there will be more news in the coming days. Wait for that.”
Still like the first bit, **** Chelsea and their many midfielders, they can only play eleven players during a game
Good news... If Chelsea get Oscar that's a MAJOR piece of business. They're really setting themselves up for the long haul this summer. I blame myself for constantly checking rumour sites and worsening my own obsession
It would be a very big signing but Brazlians can be hit and miss when coming straight to the Premier League, most take a couple of season to settle too. Plus, as I said above, chelsea can only play eleven at a time like everyone else I just asked others to make sure I was aware of any transfers and just checked the LFC website for confirmations
A part of me enjoys trawling through various stories and speculation. Blaszczykowski certainly would be an 'exciting' signing.
I personally think Blaszczykowski is in the same category as Neymar, Lavezzi (I know he's moved already), Moutinho, Cavani, etc for us. He won't be joining us because we are unable to offer Champions League football, never mind meeting their clubs and personal demands
Jakub Błaszczykowski's agent says Liverpool have made an enquiry. 2 things : if this is true he should keep his ****ing gob shut if this is true he'd be a good signing imo Edit:Jakub Błaszczykowski's manager has confirmed there have been offers from Inter Milan, Liverpool & Lazio. So now theres 2 big mouths
the guy is trying to drum up business... in fact no-one has approached him.... if someone like inter was in for him he'd be quiet and grab the best offer going.
Lawro would never be able to pronounce that name. And maybe he would turn down Inter in order to play PL football.
Why would you go to Inter at the moment though? They're in the Europa league this season, they've lost Lucio,, Stankovic, Motta, Eto'o, Balotelli, Santon and Forlan in the last two years and they seem to be in the process of losing Maicon to Chelsea aswell. Their best players like Milito (33), Zanetti (38), Cambiasso (31), Samuel (34) aren't really getting any younger and Sneidjer seems to have lost his way since Mourinho left. Plus the fact Serie A have lost 1 CL spot to Germany meaning only 3 teams get into the CL makes it much harder for them to get back into it, especially when AC Milan and Juventus were so far ahead of everyone last season.
two things. 1. no tax cos italians fix that all up. 2. shed load of dosh every point you made could be applied to lfc...europa, lost players, suarz maybe not so interested, gerrard and carra past it.... there may be 4 slots but 6 teams ahead of us.....
This is the best league in the world though. We get a few players of his standard (and he'd be informed of the club's ambitions long before we are) and we're back in business. Let's see though. No getting hopes up.
We don't need to sell players to balance the club financially though, and that is the difference between us and Inter.
