From the noises made by their president over the last couple of years indicates that money talks very loud over there, not the wishes of his players.
Very very true perryman. Let's hope these quotes from sandro are real! http://m.sambafoot.com/en/news/33215_sandro_tells_spurs_to_sign_oscar.html?
and now it's on SSN too!! ****. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7885309/Chelsea-bid-for-Oscar
To be fair they probably haven't received an offer yet because Chelsea have only just begun tapping him up and with us also interested, that's the most important thing right now.
If anything, signing a player from the Brazilian (or any other South American) league right now is a bad idea - they're halfway through their season, so they'd be knackered come January. With the obvious exception of Bruno Uvini, of course.
maybe they are not....maybe there is a tad over ratedness going on somwhere? so many players fail to deliver what is verbally claimed..to my knowledge..i think that is why i struggled to get excited about Leandro Daimio(sp).
if Brazil is seeing a recession in good footballers, the worlds football is going to suffer.. big time!!
Not sure about this. From what I remember there was very little information available on Sandro when we signed him, and he has turned out to be of the highest quality. Football clubs aren't stupid, they're not just going to take Inter's word for a player being amazing without doing the necessary scouting etc.
how is that my friend? never liked the Brazilians as much as the Argies anyway...for every Sandro there are a few Gilbertos and Denilsons(goon).....
i agree with you..ive just got this pre season addiction of playing devil's advocate to initiate debate...as for football clubs not being stupid.....now now Wanderer..you know that is not true...im baffled at how so many players have managed to become pros...Heskey..cough..Crouch...choke..cough..Palacios..dreadful ball players.
Why are Arsenal supposed to be in for a new keeper? I can see them buying back-up, but not splashing out on a new number 1.
