The thing here that annoys me is that most Arsenal fans will just brush this off and claim he left for the money.

But the truth is that with our current 'selling' policy we are showing a complete lack of ambition - and this is why players choose to leave. For a while we were considered amongst Europe's elite clubs but that's no longer the case, Were now seen as a stepping stone to 'bigger and better things' due to our boards eagerness to cash in on its established stars. With the highest ticket prices in the League (possibly Europe) Arsenal fans are getting short changed by the club.

When you look at how United, Barcelona and Chelsea have managed to keep all their best players it puts it into perspective how much more successful we could have been had we done the same.

The ticket price argument is a red herring.500/600 of our seats may well be the most expensive in the PL but the other 59,500 are comparable with most other teams.Don't forget the £100 tickets are only on sale for 5 games <ok>

They're 'comparible' to the likes of Man City and Chelsea yes. A friend of mine just bought a Season ticket for Fulham for just over £300. Ours start at what £1100?
Also if we're no longer competing with United/City for the league then our ticket prices should match that. Our prices should be comparible with Tottenham, Everton, Newcastle's. Fans will be happier to pay a little more if there's a chance to watch their team make history.

I paid £49 to watch Fulham v Arsenal in the 2010/11 season.A Fulham fan would have paid £33 for the corresponding fixture at the Emirates.
Using last season's prices there were 25,000 tickets available at £38 or less and there were also discounts for children, under 18's and OAP's.
Our cheapest season tickets are much less than £1100 and don't forget Arsenal include cup games in the price whilst most teams don't.
On the subject of teams like Everton there fans are paying £35 to sit in a seat with a restricted view

So then we are paying nearly 40% more for the same fixture.

Yes we are paying 40% more to go to Craven Cottage than Fulham fans pay at the Emirates.

I keep hearing about these mythical tickets for under £40 but am yet to see one. Ended up paying £80 to see Arsenal vs United last Season at the Emirates.

Apart from against 5 teams (cat C) Tottenhams cheapest tickets are more expensive than ours and there are far less of them available. Tottenhams cheapest season ticket is also more expensive than ours per game. Same for Liverpool by the way.

Games against the likes of Swansea go for £35 on the Ticket Exchange all the time.

The vast majority of tickets in the lower tier are priced at £35. I presume that you always go upper tier then?

I always hoped with proper player additions he might change his mind during the final season.
Nothing like being challenging to boost morale.

If we do well and RVP keeps his form and decides to stay, surely Wenger will have no choice but to buy world class players for the follow up season.

no one, but as things stand he has one year left,so if he did decide to leave it would mean you would get nothing for him
