Listen to the interview here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01kjr0y/5_live_Sport_The_Monday_Night_Club_09_07_2012/ It starts at 1hour and 5 mins in. Excellent praise from the pundits. Wonder what the muppets (sorry pundits) on MOTD will have to say after a few weeks of the new season???
Having listened to that, I have a big problem! With PL's post-match interviews, I was overjoyed if I could pick out the odd word here and there! With CH, the man is so clear and well-spoken, I can understand every word! No fun at all!
I used to find Lambert's interviews quite funny. It was like: Reporter: Given the fact that we have won 4 games in a row do you now feel confident about staying up. Lambert: (shrugs shoulders) No, hey look, listen...............mummble.......right now......mumble........ No. It was great!
The contrast is amazing. Chris Hughton is so at ease expressing himself and oozing a confidence that I'm sure will be picked up by the players.
Masterclass in saying the right things while saying nothing much at all; in that sense no more enlightening than a typical Lambert interview. Most reassuring of all were Ian McGarry's comments that Birmingham played some of the best and most attractive football in the Championship last season and would probably have been promoted had it not been for the huge number of games they had to play with very limited resources. (Of course, if they had been promoted, who would have featured in that interview as the new Norwich manager? We'll never know!)
well, that was enjoyable, came across very well spoke very positively about improving the squad, and about sorting out the GH issue. keep it up
Noticed that -- but in the case of Villa it was translated for the listeners'/readers' benefit by the reporter as "What I've inherited here leaves a lot to be desired and there's going to be a big clear-out"!!!!
