At least they have ambition. As long as they consistently remain in the PL they will do okay. I see no reason why they couldn't fill 30-35k a few years or so down the line. Fans come and go at the end of the day. If Fulham could get from 5k to 25k+ in 15 years I see no reason why QPR couldn't improve their attendances in a similar catchment area. Same with us, I am quite sure we could fill 60k at the Bridge, certainly for the big games anyway. Even now demand for the likes of Spurs, United, Liverpool and Arsenal is at least 60k. If the seats are available people will fill them,

Yes but historically Chelsea have a huge fan base going back to the 30's 40's and 50's when we set record attendances. You've never had that.
Nobody would deny our attendances were not great in the 80s/early 90s but that was probably only a 15 year period in our entire history with low attendances. And regardless our away attendances back then were only usurped by United and Liverpool who were far more successful and reached out to all corners of the UK and beyond. Our attendances are actually lower now than in any previous era. Even in the 70s when in the 2nd division we managed a 52,000 crowd which would be unheard of at most clubs. Of course QPR took 65k which is a record for a cup final I believe so that is impressive. I still believe there is huge potential for growth as football is becoming more and more popular. I don't think you are quite on the level of Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham or Spurs support wise but there is still every chance your Attendances will grow. I believe there is huge potential at your club to compete at a high level. In London the catchment area for fans is huge. We have not only Greater London but also all the home counties. A lot of Midlands/Northern clubs don't have that and their fanbase is limited to Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton with others getting nowhere near the same level of support
For qpr to get 25k crowds on the same level as fulham or Norwich they would have to get more support from middlesex as well as the home counties. Even when we were crap we outnumbered home fans at Loftus road regularly, but they were the worst represented London club at the bridge. That parochialism will always hold rangers back. They only took half their allocation to old t in their first season up. Compare their away following to norwich and Swansea. 45k is all talk
We took 3000 to Old Trafford. Quit making up facts. Apparently we had the fifth best support last season, which really isn't that bad is it.
Their away following may not be as big as Swansea or Norwich's but that's because Swansea and Norwich have no other clubs within a 40 mile radius to compete with

We sold out every single home game last season bar Birmingham at home and Genk/Leverkusen at home which were subject to a mass boycott involving protests at the huge ticket price hikes. The only away games we didn't sell out last season were North West midweeks and Valencia/Levekusen away and Napoli but the latter was due to safety more than anything, given the history of Italian and English fans you are not going to take your kids to Naples midweek. Only us, Spurs and United/City sold out every home league game last season
Yep, you read that right. fifth best % of our allocation filled. Our average % of the ground filled at home was 95% and it would have been higher if it weren't for clubs like Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton and Wolves with their pathetic away following. Englands Thickest, if you want to have a go at someone for bad away support look no further than Fulham. They brought 300 to Old Trafford.
