I bet people do. Plus, what point are you trying to make? That horses dying in the Grand National is okay because horses die in another race?
the point im making is we are all dying from the minute we're born .. so if a few pampered equine beasts that ill never have a personal feeling for die ..so be it

There are but two types of people who ride horses: toffs and pikies. Ban it. Make them want to leave this country.

It's a mistake to think that it's just "toffs" who are into racing. Just wander up country to any small meeting, look into a race book, and you'll find heaps of horses who are owned by half a dozen people, who are just trying to get a toe hold in the business.
