I think Vettel + Alonso would be worse than 07 since they're quite similair in mindset I believe.

It would almost have to be run as 2 single teams to be controlled as I've said in the past there's no way Seb will walk into Ferrari without being Alonso's equal in stature and I think having the likes of Bernie with political muscle will make sure of that.

Agreed. Would also show that 2007 was just a blip and that he can handle having a team-mate who gives him a good run for his money.

Believe me when I try and say this in the politest way I can think of and with no intention to cause a drama of sorts, but Silver can you seriously please tone it down with the Vettel love-in mate? I know your excited for him and he's your favourite driver - we all tend to get a bit excited about our favourites - but it gets a bit tiring when the vast majority of your posts revolve around him being God's gift to Formula One. Again, I'm not trying to cause a stir, and this has nothing to do with my like of Webber and my dislike of Vettel, but please can you tone it down a bit? :)

It's going to be a disaster. Why would Vettel leave RBR to get thrashed by Alonso at Ferrari, either the money is really good or he's lost his marbles.

Apparently, Mercedes offered Michael a new contract for 2013, and Schumacher has asked for more time, "we will see..." were his words.
To myself, as a member of the sheeple community, his words are very positive. For someone not looking to extend his contract I would expect something like "this is not the right moment to ask this question".

Mercedes have had a very positive return to the podium frequently since Michael has been working with the team and Nico, development has been apparent... Has he got a few more years of experience and laps on the clock? He has only just found his pace to match the likes of Hamilton and Alonso...

If not for his retirements he would have been up there fighting for the championship. Anyways still 12 races to go, anything could happen..

He should move when he has put Lotus into the midfield, then he would have the respect and reputation needed to sit in a top team unlike some drivers.
He is a fantastic person to watch on and off the track at the moment.

And seb backs his hero's return.
    http://www.espn.co.uk/formulaone/sport/video_audio/158746.html

Schumacher's compatriot Sebastian Vettel believes that the Mercedes driver has now proved his critics wrong and that much of the criticism over the past two years has been unfounded.
"It's good because, for now, some people should now close their mouth when they talk about Michael," Vettel said. "He doesn't deserve all the negatives he's had to take over the past couple of years. On the other hand, he's had a very long career so he's used to it."

I think transfer/contract talks are going to peak this summer. Loads of people are going to shift around a bit I think.

And Webber signs for RBR for another year.

Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes: Those look to be Lewis' only options now.

The words "anticlimax" spring to mind but seeing as he's in the title hunt this year you can't blame him.

According to the Red Bull Facebook page Webber has just signed for the 2013 season with Red Bull, so thats one possible race seat off the list for Hamilton.

This goes along with what I thought would happen. I know this sounds stupid to most of you but I wouldn't be surprised if LH ends up racing at Ferrari next year.
