Got abit slated on talksport earlier regarding the new stadium and even our signings. I was wondering whatwads the overall opinion of our fans, do you think a move to a new stadium is the right direction to go in.

Asolutley yes. We cannot move forward at LR, as sad as it will be to leave, it is just too small and has no opportunity to develop.

Of course it would be lovely to have the space to expand at LR, unfortunately that isn't the case so we must move. We will fill the new stadium quicker than most think, we're a global brand now don't you know.

But I'm sure LR road will just be a pleasant memory once everyone's watched their first game at the new stadium, and still has kneecaps at the end of it.

How does the bad economic climate affect the price of a new ground and the eventual sale price of Loftus Road. Is this a good or bad moment to move financial wise?

I myself wasn't on talksport, so I apologize if I have worded this wrong, I didn't expect this negative response. I was genuinely angry at the presenters on drive ( gough and Durham) and callers/ texts on the seven o'clock show after TF was on taking the piss out of us, I just wanted to see if anyone had felt or feel the same way, I voted yes myself because its a positive step forward and is a sign of intent I.e. progression

Well, you threw us all there Deano.
I never listen to Talksport, it's crap. Wish Tony didn't lower himself by going on,should leave it to Bircham,he seems big mates with them.

    Someone's got to say it,

    1) Worried about the debt to the club
    2) Every fan knows that LR can generate a top atmosphere, real 12th man stuff(11th in our case last season), don't wanna lose it.
    3) The prices won't go down, honest they really won't. likely go up.
    4) Current squad will need another rebuild as we've signed a lot of +30's, more money....

Agree that somethiing needs to be done but I have these reservations plus more I havn't thought of yet.

Am I voice of reason? or just a misery that can't do change. Time will tell.

Callers of other clubs cant stand to see otherr clubs overtake them in signings and stature. Take a look at fulhams boards for example, one of them had 7 out of the 10 threads about us on their 1st page

    1 we are debt free
2 tony said the new stadium would retain the atmosphere
3 I believe they will, especially for the lowest cat games
4 all of their contracts run out when the stadium is due, we can re build then.

I do apologize guys. I do belive its a good move, and I'm excited by the signing if park. I got my season ticket today, I'm buzzing for our future. But other teams/fans think they can slate us. I'm not happy about that

Anyone who takes Adrian Durham seriously needs their head examined, he spends all day thinking up the biggest wind-ups to get angry punters ringing in, he's the paid version of Swords...

I get your point Rhino. A few minutes ago I got the fear - 45,000, they must be nuts. And then I got the fear worse as I realized the aim is not to be a safe premiership team. There's no way we could fill a stadium that big for the years needed to pay for it, even with other income, as a new Fulham. These blokes are going to try to win things, build a dynasty. They may take their time and they may not say it out loud, but it's the only way this adds up, unless we have a team of Koreans and Chinese and live off merchandising.
I've still got the fear, but to paraphrase Danny from Withnail and I, why take a downer to balance out an upper? Why trust one drug more than another? I'm going to master the fear and take the ride......

A hotel with guest funnelled in from air asia flights who will also be much more likely to go to our games if they are right on the doorstep.
