The idea of Welsh independence is a truly terrifying thought. Perpetual Socialist government that will put us on a par with Eastern Europe in 1991 within a generation.

Things are going downhill quick enough with just the Assembly to contend with. Giving these morons real power is akin to giving a chimpanzee an AK-47.

It's TeamGB, and it's a massive honour for him and us as he is welsh and is representing our country in the Olympics. I say well done to him.

It will be great to see Giggs play in a big tournament, I dont blame him for not wanting to play for the joke that is the FAW. I think we should bar our players from playing for them.

I'm not happy that giggs is there in the first place, I dont think he deserves it for deserting wales in our time of need and if he cant be bothered to turn out for his country then he has the cheek of hell to want to represent GB let alone the captains job, It should have gone to beckham who it dont matter if he is the richest footballer in the world he is loyal and wont let his country down for anything. He would put bums on seats something that giggs wont do, everyone in the world knows beckham and giggs is better known for shagging his brothers wife....he should not be there he dont deserve it.....

Can understand where you coming from, but giggs is still playing top flight football over here, so that has got to count for it. If beckham was in it there would be a media circus around it. The beckham show makes me puke.

beckham to be fair still plays top football for galaxy and is as fit as giggs, i cant forgive him for letting us all down and now we know why....he was trying to keep his squeaky clean image while shagging behind his wife's back...If he said that the reason was to prolong his premiership status with man utd longer that he had to give up international football then the same should apply now......there is no doubt about his ability and his skill but he is a jerk and beckham should have been the main choice however much some fans cant stand him (more envy than anything) He is a proud british subject that will do anything for his country and a model for the youngsters...if anyone deserves to be there its him......giggs i use to admire but he lost my respect and many others the day he let wales down. I dont want him anywhere near wales even when he finally hangs up his boots........

They have 3 MPs out of 40 in Wales, what does that tell you ? They may have won councils at a local level, but on the whole they are a party in joint 3rd with the lib dems.

plaid are a joke party. If they were any use they would have the vote of the welsh people and they dont...A welsh party with 3 MP's in the whole of wales tells you the story.....

Maybe if he had turned up more for Wales we might have qualified during hughes reign. he is not representing Wales he is representing Ryan Giggs. As he has always done.

This is about TeamGB not Wales, but I do agree with you about him not turning up for friendlies, I don't believe he played the same tricks on qualifying games.

If Ryan Giggs could have played for England he would have. The man is a Manc. Being born in Cardiff was incidental.

He either played for Wales or stayed at Old Trafford on his own on International weekends so he played as little as possible.
