Nothing, I'm just saying what fans said 3 years ago with Lewis up until recently now that he is better driver to that of his past form and people defended him to the death until he did change.

Now its another driver having the same focus of an attacking mindset and somehow he's a twat from day 1...

I'm defending Pastor now because I think he gets too much stick when the likes of Lewis and Seb have made stupid mistakes in the past and have got away with far more than Pastors stupid mistakes like taking out their team mates for example!

Neither Lewis or Seb have ever deliberately driven into another driver, the only other driver I can ever recall doing it is Schumacher and he was hammered for it.

I can't decide if Maldonado is hot-headed or just suffers from poor judgement. Some of his moves do look deliberate as though he can't control his own aggression. If the other drivers don't feel confident that he will fight fairly and intelligently, I think they may well take matters into their own hands.

Some drivers make small errors in wheel to wheel racing which result in incidents, Maldonado crashes in to people even when given enough room to drive a bus through.

It's not small errors in judgement, it's plain stupidity.

I'm sure when the stewards look into it after the races they take a look at the telemetry and judge wether or not he intentionally moved or accelerated into another car. Since they haven't seriously reprimanded him yet I assume that all signs point to him just being reckless and not malicious in his driving.

I don't believe he intentionally hit Perez at all, but his move to try hold his position wasn't exactly bright. With the room that Perez left for him, there shouldn't have been close to any contact.

I think he will learn, i'm a Hamilton fan and last year he was getting into far too many incidents and he has learned from mistakes with controlled racing.

Still dont see how that was on purpose when Grosjean had his tyre go over Pastors forcing his car to go left, the weight of his car did that...

Sometimes I just think people are just jumping on the band wagon and just repeating what some journalist is just thinking what happend.

Journalist: "He did it on purpose!"

    *Edit*
I also looked at the interview after the race, he didn't seem proud of himself of the incident or angry at Perez pretty much insulting him. I think Pastor is getting attacked personally for no real reason apart from a couple or silly mistakes that get spun into a vindictive attack by other drivers that arn't thinking straight.

Me more than anybody here hated Pastor's guts for ****ing up Nico's race at China last year when he was getting lapped. So I think he is getting attacked for no reason now and that most people here hating him have some personal issues because he is from a different part of the world that is run by some dictator.

Pastor will come good like Romain, he just needs to calm the **** down when things get tight. So give him a break for ****s sake!

I don't need the media/journalist to tell me anything as i can think for myself. The bloke is a nutter you can see Maldonado's car change complete direction if you cant see that then that your problem.

Prove it to me then that was done on purpose... wait! you cant and using youtube as evidence will just make you look stupid as everybody who who comments on there is a moron.

Maybe it had to do with the fact that Romain turned into him and that it moved the wheel for him and was the reason for them crashing? or are you unable to think that maybe it wasn't Pastors fault but just a racing incident?

Oh but no, a few schmucks on the internet say he did it on purpose so it must be true eh?

It's called momentum mate and Romain's momentum was into Pastors tyre which resulted in the change of direction as Romain's tyre was pushing Maldonado's tyre to turn left and also stopping him turning right.

I've not been around the forum much recently, so apologies if I've missed someone posting a similar view:

In general, I think Maldo does need to learn how the limit is. Many drivers, Alonso as an example, race hard but very fairly, always leaving a gap. In recent races, I don't think Maldo has done this all the time. However, in the Silverstone incident, I think it was just that, an incident. When they were side-by-side, he lost the rear end slightly, and by the time he'd corrected he'd made contact. In this case, I think the cold tyres excuse he came out with was fair enough. He didn't leave Perez much space, but in that part of the track he couldn't give much more away without completely surrendering the position. If he hadn't lost control slightly, I think both cars would have come out of the move unscathed.

Look at the line PM took, this was before he lost the rear, he carried way too much speed into the corner, he was too aggressive. Again!

Edit: That was after he'd lost the rear, got a bit confused trying to stop it at the right bit. He still steamed in there way too fast though.

Since 1994, and even for a while before, the only drivers more dangerous than Maldonado were either the cream of the crop (and for all the stick they get, the FIA have clamped down on the likes of Hamilton and Schumacher), or people who were dangerous because of how slow they were (they usually lose their seats quickly).

Clearly, Perez didn't leave enough room for Maldonado there. :p

I'm a Hamilton fan, why would I be butt hurt over Pastor? We are far more concerned with McLaren's loss of pace.

I didn't say all Hamilton fans, just the butthurt ones with regard to what happend in the past with Lewis and Pastor.

The guy even admitted it was partly his fault with cold tyres and he looked sorry for it. "I compromised my race."

Doesn't sound like a guy who tried to drive Perez off the track but a driver like any other making a mistake once in a while. Yeah he's error prone and too agressive in too many battles. But don't make me laugh that all the time he is trying to crash into people because he has a major temper problem. I think Frank Williams knows him much better than these armchair experts on here that make up stories with bloody videos they get from youtube and try to make it look like fact that he is a nutcase!

slayer more than anybody should be supporting a driver like pastor since he is acting just like Lewis was in the past and being too agressive in almost every situation. So the drivers are going to talk about him down the line, what's new? Lewis was being talked about 3-4 times about his attitude towards other drivers until he changed for the better!

Got to say that I don't see much difference between Pastor this year and Lewis last year. I think that Pastor is making quite a few mistakes and I hope he learns from them, just like Lewis seems to have.

I don't see the big deal, I think Perez said some stuff in the heat of the moment, but I don't think that Pastor is that dangerous, lets see if anyone else comes out and say anything before we condemn him too much.

Butthurt? Possibly the weirdest metaphor I've ever seen...

Anyway, I'm a Hamilton fan, so my opinion obviously means jackshit, even though I also like watching Webber and Alonso drag every tenth out of a ****-heap...

I see SilverArrow's point (except the butthurt comment), but Coulthard is a recently retired racing driver, and the guy is up in arms about Pastor, so I can only imagine how the steward chair (also an ex-F1 driver) feel about him.

The Perez crash was the most "racing incident"-like of all the collisions Pastor has been involved in, but I think he's now gaining a reputation with the driver's and fans that will be difficult to shake. The question they'll be wondering in their crash helmets, is if he's going to take them off today if they defend/try to overtake him. When Hamilton had his most error-prone season, the collisions he were involved in often took the form of him slightly misjudging his front wing etc, which is understandable given the size of them. In his most "aggressive" seasons at the beginning, when the drivers complained about his style (most obviously Webber almost every week in his blog), his actions were rarely against the rules of Grand Prix racing. Indeed his actions are only deemed illegal after consequent rule changes, which was especially frustrating for the fans because the FIA were willing to penalise him first without precedence.

As others have said, Hamilton has never "used his car as a weapon", and I'm sure if you compiled the incidents from Pastors last two seasons in F1, they would look a lot more dangerous than all of Hamilton's put together. Granted that's subjective, but that's my opinion. I also believe Pastor should have had at least a penalty in the race or a 5 place grid-drop for ending Perez's race, but the FIA still seem inconsistent on these issues.

I don't hate Maldanado, but he really needs to calm the hell down and cut out the stupidity. Aside from that, I'm not sure his aggressiveness is even translatable into laptime, and comparing him with Senna is like comparing him to Nelson Piquet Jnr, in my opinion.
