Pre-Season friendly but will probably have a bit more of an edge to it for various reason.

Looking forward to this game, there's a match thread for the tour on our board so there should be some good banter.

AVB and Rodgers will have a couple of friendlies in the bag before this game.

Boring friendly or do you think it could be a good game?

Should be a good game, we'll both be closing in on full fitness by then and have all our Euro players back too so no excuses! :p

We are both waiting for the new season to start to see what happens. Both clubs with new managers and 'new directions' but friendlies tend not to tell you as much as you think. In theory it should be an interesting game.

Can't wait. My wife and I have been looking forward to this for a long time. We're wondering who's likely to play, and hoping for as many starters as possible. I tend to agree that it probably won't mean much, but any game against Liverpool anywhere will be interesting. The game's in Baltimore, by the way.

I think this game will be taken very seriously, it will be a measure of the progress/ lack of progress each club has made since appointing new managers. There are enormous bragging rights attached to it.

Neither club will want to lose it. I'd bet both sides will be full strength. However, there's a fair chance of a draw, let's hope that it's not a dour 0-0.

It's on live on ESPN, bloody 04:00 in the morning

Will be interesting to see who the crowd warm to most? Good bit of preseason banter practice for us all......To early to predict yet, as no one has seem either play under the new management, and we still dontknow who will come into each team before the game and who will leave. One thing is for sure, both teams will want to create a good impression in the US, I see a 5-3 rather than a 0-0.

Absolutely. Baltimore is about 4 hours away, which is close by US standards. What's fantastic is that we'd already planned to go through Baltimore that week. Then Spurs announced they'd be playing there.

I live in Pittsburgh, which, to me, resembles Baltimore in a few ways, namely that it has some character, is northern in some ways and southern (well, in Pittsburgh's case, hillbilly) in others, and is a similar, comfortable size.

So I'm really looking forward to it for any number of reasons. It will definitely be interesting to see how many Spurs fans show up. I'd expect there'll be a considerably bigger Liverpool fan contingent as they picked up a fair number of fans from way, way back in the days of yore when they had a good team. I'm looking for:

any collection of Spurs songs, and any compositions involving Gylfi Sigurdsson or other Liverpool-specific material.

Any other advice for a new fan.

RW&EB, try this link for songs (new and old) http://www.topspurs.com/thfc-songs&chants.htm

The rest of the site is also good for history etc. Much better than the OS.

This will be a game to test both sides to see if they're ready for the season. A competitive 1-1 or 2-2 in my opinion.
