I know in light of HIAG's digs we have had our fair share of fun over the last 3/4 months but rather than go backwards its seems they are making a real statement of intent to improve. In terms of league finish I had always looked at Arsenal as the team beat. Normally finishing above Arsenal guarantees you will be top London club. I'm not sold on AVB but they are backing up an already decent squad with quality signings like Vertonghen, Sigurddson and dare I say it to an extent even Adebayor. They are now going head to head with Man Utd over the likes of Moutinho and already pipped Liverpool to Sigurddson. They are not going to go away now, that's become clear. No matter how good/bad AVB is I am certain they won't finish lower than 6th. They are certainly no worse than Arsenal without RVP and AVB can attract the calibre of player Arry couldn't dream of getting. They aren't as good as us IMO but are getting there Developments there will be interesting. We just might find ourselves competing with them for 3rd unless Arsenal sort themselves out. The days of Spurs being a laughing stock are almost long gone and it's worrying if your a Chelsea or Arsenal fan IMO
if we could'nt afford him,we would'nt waste our time, trying to sign him, listen to what dl say's sometimes he speaks sense
If they sell Modric they could easily afford him. What the sacking of Arry shows and chasing high calibre players is that they have the ambition to improve. AVB was the one that took Moutinho to Porto so AVB pushes their board I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up there.
What's wrong with this picture....a fan of a club that just finished a golden mile below Arsenal & the Spuds is talking as if they are superior to them both? Has winning the CL really upped the delusion factor to such a large degree?
What did Spurs and Arsenal win last season? In fact what have they ever won in the last 4 years? If you think 5/6 points is a golden mile I'd suggest the only delusion here is with you. The reality is 2 years ago We finished comfortably ahead of both Arsenal and Spurs with pretty much the same players. I have no doubt it was just a blip.
Can't see The Spud's being as good as say, "Faulty Towers", or Maybe even the "Carry On" series of film's. Stood a good chance if Arry' had stayed.......Oh f**k. You said.. "Force". Sorry will read the title properly next time.
Fair play to the OP for being honest after months of obsession and being objective in his analysis. the rest of you on here are still behaving like a bunch of kants
