The Club have published some pics. of our heroes limbering up on their first day back -

    http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2012/July/FirstDayBack.aspx

Apart from the 3 named in the article, Ruiz and Grygera are also absent still recovering from injury. Coudn't see Senderos - may be me or just not in these photos.

The expected younger players, Frei, Kaca and Trotta are there. However good to see also Dan Burn and Alex Smith training with the the 1st squad. I presume this means that the Club and Smith have agreed a new contract but why no announcement? I think Danny Hoesen was there as well.

Did you notice anyone else ?

I think you yourself posted that Smith had signed a new contract. Looks like Kaca has signed a new one too?

Ooops, thanks Bidley you're correct about Smith and hopefully about Kaca as well.

Just had another look and can't see Kelly. He was, like Duff with Ireland so presumably given a bit more time off, but why no mention of this? Probably me (again) or some sort of oversight by the Club - the only reason for mentioning it is he's one of those that we haven't heard about getting a new contract.

Got worried when I didn't see Clint there! But obviously given extra time off having been with the US. Is it just me or does Alex Smith look an awful lot like Wayne Routledge?

Think I see Tom Donegan in a couple of Pictures, the young lad we bought from Everton a few years ago.
Also think Dalla Valle in one of the photos.

Looking at the squad numbers in the pics -

Simon Davies has got his old No. 25 back
Sascha Riether has got DM's No. 13
    Kaca has got No. 9

Could be wrong here, but it looks like Steve Sidwell has No. 2, which was Kelly's number. Re-fuels the question in the earlier post ??

The numbers 9 and 2 are strange ones to give to a winger and central midfielder. Aren't 9 and 2 usually associated with centre forward and right back?

Normally you'd think so Bandit. And logically Petric would have been given the vacant No. 9 (previously Orlando Sa).

The only significance here is that it is extremely unusual for a player to 'lose' a sqad number - which is the case if indeed, and I stress if, Kelly has 'lost' the No. 2. But it happens, for example Simon Davies 'losing' No. 25 to BZ. Come to think of it Saha and Boa Morte had seasonal changes. So it's probably all something and nothing.

Oh, for the good old days when the 1st team was a simple 1 through 11.

And some more highlights of the first day back, practising in the words of the 1st team coach "low level aerobic/technical football" -

    http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2012/July/MladensFirstSession.aspx

The shirt Mladen is talking about is presumably the new home kit which is expected to be announced tomorrow before the team head out to their pre-season training camp in Germany at the end of the week.

Do you think you'll thrash us again this season?
That's all that counts, the rest is history ;)

Listen to you, would be saying it's history if you beat us? No, because you're an insufferable, dickless, numbskulled WUM. Now, please, if you have nothing to contribute (which certainly appears to be the case) do yourself a favour and clear off.

You do realise that only children and the emotionally insecure use the internet like you do, don't you?
