The Guy is a monster.....Passing and vision of a seasoned Pro and works really hard too....Ive been saying for a year now that id have him in the first team ahead of everyone in midfield bar Lucas and Gerrard (and he would fit perfect with those two.) Suso dominated midfields in the reserves last season. He may not be big, but you cannot get the ball off of him and then he always gives you end a product, a forward thinking pass, a dribble, a shot if there is space... he can play upfront, but he would be wasted upfront as he needs to be the creative spark in our midfield, He can be massive for us.....
Im not being funny about the Gylfi transfer to Tottenham, but BR knowing he had players like Suso coming through as attacking midfielders is never going to bow down to the high wage demands of someone like Gylfi......Suso has the potential to be ten times the player Gylfi is and there is not a massive age difference.....If BR didnt know about Suso when he joined, imagine his fface when he first saw what the lad has..... Vision, passing, shoot from anywhere and never loses the ball. A dynamic midfielder who has BR written all over him..... Think BR will be the first boss to give serious consideration to Pacheco aswell..... Really looking forward to pre-season and see the lads play!!
I see him as an attacking midfielder more than the deep player I don't think he has the strength at the moment to play the deeper role as you have to sheild the ball well.
So he's more like a Silva, Mata type? I still believe our central midfield is extremely weak and we need a partner for Lucas. Someone who can dictate the tempo, picks up the ball from deep and looks forward.
I see him as a member of a 3 man midfield without set roles. if we are playing a very passin/possession game, you have to expect all your midfielders to be dynamic.......I would love to see in a years time or so, a front six of Suso, Lucas, gerrard in the midfield.....Then with Suarez RF, Sterling LF and an out an out striker in the middle, Carroll for sure at the moment. Lucas holding, the movement of Suarez and Sterling causing mares for ANY defence, creating space for Gerrard and Suso to work their magic....... Think he can do what Alonso does, (not at Alonso levels yet,) but there is far more to his game, being a dribbler or a pass an mover.....Creativity by the bucket load.....The guy will give us so many options as oponents wont be able to second guess him.....Wont be a direct Alonso replacement, but I honestly believe he can give us what Alonso gave us........and more.... Aswell, because he is developing with Sterling, and Wisdom, (ball playing Cb ala Agger.) They will be developing the same kind of bonds that Barca players all seem to have because they are good player who have developed together. Love watching the rezzies play and think we really could have the young spine of a very good and very effective team for the future, though we are not strong in all areas of the rezzies.....Upfront for instance: Ngoo, is massive and hangs on to the ball very well, Morgan has a great eye for goal, and eccleston is a good utility forward......But we dont seem to have an out an out striker who has it all....Looking forward to seeing some of the u18s like Nacho come upto rezzie level this year and show what they have got....Ibe aswell
He isnt big, true.......But his skills mean that he doesnt lose the ball at all...When people do manage to get the ball off of him, the referee standardly blows for a foul within a second
Don't forget about Teixeira now as well, he is meant to be pretty special as well. Suso for me is more like Fabregas/Silva than Alonso.
its difficult to compare him to a player, because he has so much to his attacking game........I can see bits of Fabregas, Silva and Alonso in him............And he has been red carded against United for getting stuck in.....(Should never have been a red) was a clean tackle.
More of a fabregas then, he is more of that all-around type. And he used to get right into lampard, don't think they liked each other much. I want to see more of Teixeira as well, heard too many good things about him.
Yeh, true about teixiera, Ive heard lots, but have only seen him play when he was at sporting and that was just one game....Hopefully be a rezzies regular so we can get a proper sight of what he offers...
suso is nothing like fabregas or alonso... alonso is a classic creative midfielder who knows where to play and when... fabregas is a wannabe who's unbalanced barca seriously though both are classic midfielders. suso if you want a poor comparison is yossi benayoun in one sense (dribbling, playing round the box) and on the other he's like a young laudrup with totally two footed pasing and his long passing is class. IMO suso is very much a support striker type payer, not a winger, not a central midfielder... would love to play 4-2-3-1
I'd have to disagree about the second striker part. A second striker is not a totally free role. A SS has the option to either pass to one player or to pass back to the midfield. Suso excels in all roles up front, he needs the freedom to run as he pleases for maximum creativity. For that you can't be in a solitary isolated position as a SS is. Personally i would say he could excel in a false 9 or a bit behind that. ------------Hansen/Gulacsi----------- Kelly-Coates-Wisdom-Wilson (or Flanno) Then in front not sure who could play holding mid after Lucas but Suso would drop back and forth in that middle column based on what needs to be done. ------------------(don't know)---------- -Teixera-----------------------Sterling- ------------------Suso-------------------- ------------Pacheco--Morgan--------- Is a potential up and coming lineup and that's quite impressive for a youth setup. Pelosi and Bijev on the bench and I think that would be quite the team. I'm a strong believer in bleeding youth into the team. It hasn't happened at LFC in past years due to the seniors having enough problems. This leads us to practically give up on talented youngsters because they don't get patience and ANY major game time (Mikel San José, Pacheco) or get too much and fade out (Insúa). We need to give them all at least one match each in the prem. Obviously not at the same time but id rather have Sterling get a whole game (or whatever he can last) than an out of form Downing (so usually).

Looks confident, comfortable on the ball, and already you can tell he will fit right in with rodgers methodology.
I personally think Coady will make it before a lot of the ones that have been mentioned. He is a tough kid and already looks like a born leader. I understand why people are getting excited about the other ones but Coady is a big 19 year old and for me is physically way ahead of most other good young players we have.
... Don't know. He'd probably have some minutes by now if he was going to make it. Henderson was a year older when he signed and Jonjo was getting minutes at 18/19. Hopefully I'm proved wrong, but it's hard to be excited over what's probably the next Spearing rather than the next Gerrard.
