It was televised by the BBC back then. Then SKY turned up with bigger and better TV deals. More televised matches means bigger and better sponsorship and advertising revenue. It appears some clubs have become overly dependant on that revenue.
It will be funny if we fail to get promotion back to the SPL within a year. Watch them **** themselves over what to do next
It probably won't happen and that proves all this talk of "sporting integrity" is a crock of hypocritical cack. I like that word "cunshpiracy". I,m going to put that in the new word file along with "bastardy".
Let me get this straight. An automatic double promotion (all in the same season as a dodgy entry into the SFL in the first place) DOESN'T benefit Rangers?? Of course, you would seem to suggest that it WILL benefit Rangers but just as a by-product of another will. It, of course, could be argued that there's a chicken and egg scenario going on - they're voting to avoid (bullshit) financial predictions which will, in turn, benefit Rangers. Horse shit. If the finances of the game are being said to benefit from a strong Rangers, then a strong Rangers is equally the goal as much as financial concerns (arguably the by-product rather than the goal).
the large beast killed itself, skinned itself, ate its own flesh and used its own bones to make tools and weapons. its got nothing to do with anyone else and everything to do with how rangers have conducted themselves ; take the blinkers off.
It suits Rangers this scenario, they can claim they wanted to go to SFL3 but their arms were twisted and they had no choice but to go into SFL1/SPL2. A gers fan of my acquaintance said to me the other day that he wanted SFL3, but the fact that they have no choice - because the SFA are forcing them into SFL1/SPL2 - means that no one is doing Rangers any favours. No, I don't get it either.
Didny say it didn't benefit us. I said it wasn't orchestrated to benefit us. Like you said, that's a by-product.
Baws. If it had everything to with what Rangers did then it'd be 3rd division, no question. The trouble is the SPL don't want Rangers in the 3rd. They want to punish Rangers but also want minimise the loss of revenue. This coupled with Green knowing that he's going to sell means that he'll push for the 1st Div so he can demand a higher price when the sale comes. Green has stated they will play wherever they are told. They just need told.
I dont normally engage with morons, but I`ll make an exception just this once. Shut up moron, you inhabit the same intellectual plane as the big hoose hun. Please dont bother me with your comments - which are usually at some tangent to what is actually being discussed - again. Thank you.
