Morning all, looks like excellent swing bowling conditions here. If Murray wins today, what odds would you have got that the first British mens doubles and singles champs since 1936 would be a Scouser and a Scot?

Morning all, looks as if we had a fair drop of rain overnight which saves me from watering duties.;)

Daughter has invited us for dinner, so guess they must have run out of wine. :(

    Morning all

The sun came out for 30 seconds this morning...obviously didn't like what it saw.

Mrs H refuses to watch Andy Murray this afternoon...she's just done her nails and is unwilling to risk biting them.

Evening all - oh well Murray lost again. I wonder if he had been born a few years later he may have had more of a chance as I just cannot see him beating the top 2 and with the #3 getting better all the time, I just cannot see him winning a major tournament.

he played superbly well, and i really felt for him today. Would have been good to see him win, but i agree, wrong era...apparently he's the only player to ever play in four grand slam finals and not win one...poor bloke.

Morning all. Our rain has finally gone and we had a weekend of sunshine and relatively warm weather. The sun is shining as I write but there is still a heavy frost on the ground.

Morning all from a rather overcast West West London - luckily a short week of madness as I need to make a quick trip to the South Coast to clear out the rest of Little Miss W_Y's stuff from the house there and I have Friday off as we are off to London to the theatre. So 5 days work in 3!

I have no telephone connection at home and the telephone company have saifd I may have it on Wednesday, that will be seven days of no internet. Frú and Little Ak are going mad without facebook and access tot their shopping. We had a good weekend, so it did not matter, all the time was out and about.

I laugh when I see Watford/North London/Hertfordshire writen. It is like saying Akureyri is part of Reykjavík.

Did Roger Federer allow Andy Murray to win the first set?

    Thanks for the frothy AK

There was some debate that Murray won the first set as the roof was open and he was a better player in the open than Federer, but with the roof closed the Federer was in his element. Seemed a little bit of a stretch to me...

Morning/afternoon all, lots of dashing about this morning as the council seem to be running out of compost and I need lots more. :(

Coffee very welcome ak, sorry about your phone, do IT take ages to restore it to full health as do BT or FT?

See that John Terry is in court today and was amazed to see that the case is expected to last five days, when the maximum sentence is a fine of £2,500. Maybe the magistrate expects to have to spend a lot of time with a dictionary looking up the meaning of different words. ;)

Apparently he was being teased about his extra marital affairs, that is what led him to that foul mouthed tirade!!!! 'Allegedly'

Sometimes. Normally the repairs are fast. Except in the summer when the people want to stay out in the sun.
