Have we forgotten what our bunch of no hoper, relegation favourite candidates achieved in our first season back in this division....? There is an awful lot to say for the players having the motivation in looking forward to a bit of success again. For an example, look no further than Cole end of last year playing like a man possessed, determined to be part of DM's team next season. I suspect we will see some more of the squad come back from the break with the same attitude, for example Marv, maybe Brett (if he can show DM what he wants to see), determined to partake in the resurrgence of the club. Do NOT underestimate the power of a bit of light at the end of the tunnel (which we have been in for over 3 years now)....
I think Del will not accept the soft underbelly we had over the last two/three seasons. I do think it will be a case of being harder to beat this coming season.
Are you now starting to think the same as a lot of us Red Robin, that Del could be the man to get us going. I know you wanted Dave Jones but he let the Cardiff players get away with murder, that's why I wanted Del to stop the players believing they were in control of this club.
Fingers and toes crossed, not long now, hopefully he will surprise us all. Of course I want Del to succeed at the club I follow and support across the country,I'm just hoping he is the man for the job ahead, My big concern as you probably are aware was where he came from, A club in the scottish top division plying its trade in front of four thousand fans,I did have concerns when he was appointed, but he has my full backing as a fan. Let's hope he can take us on to the next level.
I think.... Top 6 Bolton Middlesborough Blackburn Huddersfield Burnley Wolves Posh Palace Barnsley Millwall Sheffield Wednesday Charlton
I will take that after the last few seasons of stagnation.regards you team Southampton I think you will be in the bottom eight.
We pretty much have the side together, apart from Baldock and possibly a couple of others to sign, pre season is going well, nice to see us winning and some good reviews. I will happily put us mid table, and possibly even higher with the signings that have arrived one thing for sure we are in a better place than last year. bold prediction 12th
No particular order peeps........feeling Blackburn might battle for title thou.......... Top 6 Blackburn Sheff Wed Bristol City Cardiff Derby Brighton Bottom 6.......... No particulars Leeds Millwall Posh Burnley Huddersfield Bolton will also have a shocker.............................
I'm coming away from the bold prediction,I'm going to say 12th or upwards,we look a good side, and will only get better.
Top 6 Blackburn Leicester Cardiff Huddersfield Wolves Blackpool Bottom 6 Brighton Barnsley Leads Palace Posh Millwall
Top 6 1 - Blackburn 2 - Wolves 3- Leicester 4 -Birmingham 5 - Blackpool 6- Boro Bottom 6 18 - Palace 19 - Watford 20 - Millwall 21 - Charlton 22 - Peterboro 23 - Huddersfield 24 - Barnsley If we get the dominant ball winning centre half that is so desperatly needed and a 20 goal striker, we could well be top 10. If however we make no more signings then anywhere from 15th - 18th is more likely, could even be lower if we concead like last season..
Top 6 1.Bolton 2.Ipswich 3.Leeds 4.Leicester 5.Wolves 6.Derby Bottom 6,in no particular order -C.Palace -Watford -Peterboro -Barnsley -Millwall -Charlton City to finish 10th...
Well after the quality signings that have arrived,I really do think we can give any team a game, potentially we have one of the best attacks in the division,a excellent pair of defenders than can overlap. Exciting times. I really do think we can aim as high as we want, yes I going to put my head on the chopping board as say we could hit the playoffs.
Not this season mate, think we need to sort the central defence out at the moment. A season together then this is the start of the building process.
And if we acquire a commanding centre half in the coming days ROD...? I wanted DM from day one and, having just watched the goals on tele, they were PROPER and not the scruffy stuff we have got used to - good times ahead mate, play-offs entirely do-able. I BELIEVE (and have put my money where my mouth is, see "Crazy?" thread)...
I'M glad others think the same.i really think this is going to be a excellent season.A real show against Cardiff will make the pundits take note. Relegation your aving a laugh.
